I have a 73 convertible with the Q code. The purchaser ticked all the boxes ! The engine has been massaged nicely, 1 degree of compression, High lift cam with roller rockers and 7/16ths screw in studs and bee hive springs, ARP rod bolts, Mild porting, gasket matching, 3 angle valve job with double back cut valves and a Holley Sniper with billet distributor and electronic ignition. 355 whp and 411 tq. ! The engine will hit 7k rpm. Best mod that I did was rip out the Saginaw series 800 steering box and replace it with a 12.7 to 1 box !!! That changed everything, all the important movement takes place in the 10 to 2. Best of all....I have 3 pedals and a Toploader!

you fixed my problem in 30 seconds and i had thr opposite problem-- i couldnt get hose back in. it turns out the handle faces away from vacuum operator and i was doing it backwards

My hose was not the problem. I figured it out. When you take entire wand off, spray WD40 at the spring clips inside the wand, fixes it right away!

How do you switch suction from wand to vacuum base? For some reason when I insert wand the suction won’t transfer to base so I can vacuum regularly
