One of the only protest songs that was totally pacifist and...poignant for all-time.

I was a 16 year old working class kid when this occurred. My 18 year old neighbor had just been blown to bits on an ammunition barge on the Mekong Delta. I never had any innocence to loose. Never trust the government, they always lie about things being in your best interest.

Why does this not have tons of likes?

Proud of all those young students taking part in a sixties protest song and counterculture anthem that commemorates the deaths of four students killed by national guardsmen at Kent State University on May 4, 1970.

This incident was the warning about the deep state taking control. David Crosby was a brilliant and aware songwriter.

In high school during the late sixties, the studies were rowdy, and disinterested in school because of all the protests going on, however the teachers were still establishment people and trying to control us. But the day after the Kent State shootings that all changed, they were as radicalized as the students. I understand this song was written, recorded, and on air within a week of the shootings - which back then was fast.

Venice guitarists are as good as anyone playing. I'm 70. Song still gives me chills. Not sure what we've learned. Kamala/Walz. Trump needs to go down. Now.

I have many favorites CSN&Y, Doobie Bro., Little River band, Eagles, etc,,, but when they perform with a High School Band and it's this good, WOW! This was fantastic.
