I remembered when i first heard it years ago as a young teen, although cute from the amber, some of the lyrics i felt didnt suite her, like it dodnt sound natural coming from her, but when i found out the other group wrote it and they switches it to the other group and i tried to play the beginning lyrics from amber in my head i was like "ohhh, thats why it sounds weird" 😂😂

As someone that loves all musicals and western girl groups, i find it interesting how any person that knows kpop now would look at this and agree it's kinda "kpoppy" in a way lol. 😂 At least to me.

Yep. If this was a musical set in the 60s, it doesn’t even feel like the 60s, especially with the songs. 😢

It doesn’t seem like many people of my general background and interest like musicals, outside of Daveed Diggs, but ones like this were super important to me growing up. Knew every song like the back of my hand

Not sure why, but the black girls (although dance incredible and have amazing voices) always look angry at the end of their scene.
@user-of4yv7ji1b2 ай бұрын
Not angry but sassy, they’re adding character to the song. The lyrics aren’t supposed to pretty, they’re singing about how this annoying new girl who’s stealing everyone’s man so it’s supposed to be petty,

The first version is so…petty? Like there’s something passive aggressive and catty to it. Kinda soul-less, pun intended 😆 and that’s what makes the transition so powerful.
