When you lifted you had to change the tires and rims ; size 245/70/17 (30.5″), did you get a full 4 Set or just 2 for the back?
@Nitrious8916 күн бұрын
@@SquiddTendoGaming I did not change tire size. It is OEM sizing in this vid. Also, when I do buy tires I buy all 4.

Would you recommend the eBay 3in lift kits? Also love the build!

I got an HRG version. So I would recommend that. Anything over 2in will reduce axel life.

Have not. TBH it's more of an all terrain daily/family hauler build. I've only driven it through Ice with 4WD functionality automatically engaging. It did well while other 2WD trucks were stuck. It could have been the tires more than anything tbh - I'd like to think other wise. 4WD! :) I will drive it through "off road" trails to get to river destinations here in Texas.

ThNks for the review. I’ll take the extra drawer.

I was thinking of doing that to my 3rd gen CRV. Not the lift kit as much as the bull bar though so I could mount better lights
@Nitrious89Ай бұрын
Bull bar allowed me to get better lighting for sure. There is a company that makes ditch lights I recently purchased. I use it more then the bull bar light. Due to the bull bar being too bright for on coming vehicles. Power of the sun outside the city.

Can I installer only rear lift kit?
@Nitrious8910 ай бұрын
You could if you wanted. I feel like you're looking for more of a leveling kit which HRG does sell iirc.
@MrAdamGC10 ай бұрын
The box on the right truly would be an upgrade if it hadn't given up a drawer for that big open space up top....and given up a deep drawer at that. Probably subtle 'encouragement' from Craftsman to buy the bottom chest as well. So I bought the one on the left and I am very happy with it.

So is there a way to remove that huge logo plate on the one on the right side? I’d like it as a top box but that thing is just too much

It has two push clips behind the plate. I'd imagine adhesive as well. If you don't mine having to small holes - I think you'll be happy with it.

The secondary ground is not the worst idea. I am an electrician by trade, and the number 1 cause of house fires is crappy extension cords. Overloaded, old, damaged. So, having the box with a secondary ground kinda forward looking. As I have a 44 inch and a 54 inch roll cab that I move around the plant, I actually removed the powerstrip from the units. But my very first box wS a 26 inch, and it never moved from its spot in the garage until I replaced it. Just an observation. NOT saying that I am right and anyone else is wrong. Great video!
@Nitrious89 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words and electrician knowledge as I do not have any electrical experience myself. I will revisit the secondary ground if/when I start using the powerstrip.

I bet if you put some all terrain tires the lift would be more noticeable. Great job, I'm on the fence about doing it to my 2008. I'm scared someone will steal the cat converter.
@Nitrious89 Жыл бұрын
I've kicked around the idea of buying Sparco Terra's (or another off road brand of wheels) and all terrain's but I want to use up my Michelin tires life first. They're a 70k mi tire and it'll be difficult to make the switch due to how well they've treated me. I'd go up a size and effectively give me another 1 inch lift; however, factor in lower mpgs, slower accl and less water traction on the hwy from the all terrain's a tough sell :D
