@richard2co . My god do i feel where you are coming ftom. The problem i have is this washer doent put enough water into it. It seems as thou its for small loads. I was in an area the other day this appliance store had used washers and dryers, had i known about this place before buying this washer i certainly would have checked them out.

Bought this exact model about 2 years ago. It's the only major appliance I"ve ever regretted buying. Bought it because of the removable agitator but don"t find that feature particularly useful as it really does not move things in the water as it needs to. I use the "deep water" mode for most everything!

Notice how the laundry was tangled because you threw things in without loading it properly if you loaded the machine properly, you would have gotten turnover without the auger…

This test is ok for people who don’t know how to start without an arbor, but useless because you don’t say what you are coring. People buy these for porcelain. A regular masonry bit can drill through any ceramic tile. The noise the tile made when you moved it gave a porcelain sound. Can you confirm it was porcelain? Thx

We have this model and the agitator barely moves. We had a repairman come out yesterday and replaced the capacitor and still the same issue. I’ve reset and calibrated it several times, not sure what to do now, any suggestions are welcome?

It washes alright. You can't overload at all. My problem was where is the fabric softener dispenser is located on the machine. I started putting my settings on white wash, but I put the water on cold. And poured fabric softener in the bleach dispenser.

Thanks for the video! At first I was skeptical by the look of the bit, ended up getting it anyway. Seems like it does the job that it was intended to do, just gotta keep that thing from getting too hot and burning up!

Whirlpool 2 in 1 removable agitator. 5.3 cubic ft. Model # WTW6157P. I'm f*cking pissed with the water level. This machine made me think of Joe Biden and a shiny trash can. Oh she's cute until you get to know her. $850 plus $160 for a 5 year protection plan because corporate America can't make a product that lasts for 10 years because then you won't have to buy another one. Posting reviews everywhere I can. 🖕🖕

I just purchased today this Whirlpool 5057 model. Concerning the jeans not being pulled down without the agitator in place, the included directions specifically say do not load items lengthwise. That may or may not have been in the directions two years ago when this video was made.

After a few washes in, Ive noticed its just the drain hose bouncing, I put a piece of foam around it and it is so quiet so far!!! :) Im about to try a blanket without the agitator. This should be interesting!!

Extra water won't help u. I got this one recently and it's the worst piece of crap I ever used. It does NOT EVER move clothes top to bottom. It turns one way and brings them down then the other way and pushes them up. If u need to open to add something or balance load it drains and spins period! You also get a bonus of double wrinkles than any other washer. ONE plus, don't think it's very loud.

Great demo! Thank you so much 'some guy on the internet'! Question: If you change the temperature to cold and turn off the machine (or run a full cycle and it turns off on its own) when you turn the machine on does it retain the previously selected temperature or does it reset to a default? I rarely use anything but cold water and really want a machine that you can set and forget but all the fancy new ones seem to have their own defaults...

S/N “BUYER BEWARE” !!!!! Attention: long detailed thread.. Alert 🚨 DON’T WASTE YOUR HARD EARMED MONEY NOR YOUR PRECIOUS TIME BUYING THIS.. I give this thang 1 star but that’s for the glass top.. & ZERO stars for it doing the job that it was created to do (wash clothes) I’ve spent $1600 & lost it in the casino & it wasn’t this bad of a feeling.. I am returning this mess ASAP even if I have to load it with the strength & faith of a mustard seed by myself.. hell I might even return the hubby too because I told him this ain’t the one baby when we were out shopping for a new one.. so since he didn’t listen he can go sit right on top of it at the whirlpool warehouse or the dumpster one.. atp I want it gone like 2 weeks ago when they delivered it.. I really wish I had went down the rabbit hole of reviews before we purchased.. this is by far the most useless non cleaning high tech washer I’ve ever had.. the clothes definitely don’t get clean & the laundry detergent is still on the clothes once the load is done. I have to wash twice also because all the clothes don’t even touch the water.. it’s loud long & obnoxious.. there’s no rinse, drain & spin cycle to remove the laundry detergent that’s left over only a drain & spin cycle.. I’m a woman that’s all in about washing & cleaning my house & this crap really makes you work way harder than you should with a modern washing machine.. so buyer beware, please do your research & go straight pass this particular model.. DO NOT BUY.. Oan.. every load takes way too long to wash no matter the cycle you choose.. & forget saving money or preserving water not happening.. & hopefully you have a basement laundry room because if not then add hearing aids to shopping list as well to your purchase because it’s super loud.. #Whirlpool should definitely be looking into discontinuing this model because it’s pure garbage.. oan.. I’ve read the manual over & over & over to figure this thing out it’s no use because it doesn’t fix the major issues even an hour later like dirty, half washed & dry clothes even after the wasted hour of “supposedly”washing them for an hour. & forget about using the “faucet” option to add the right amount of water to cover even the smallest load.. because all your laundry detergent drains right on out with the water up to 10 minutes with the top up after pressing faucet & 3 hours later either the top down & no wash at all.. yes I’m mad because I was very excited to switch back to top load from front load being that I thought I could give my linens & garments better care but gee wiz Louise this is not what I imagined.. Now I am in serach of an old school top load washer without all the fancy irrelevant buttons & tricks thanks in advance 👀

Just bought this a week ago and my wife hates it. It’s noisy and water never covers the clothes. Perhaps this is getting used to a high efficiency machine. Clothes on top, stay on top and never hit the useless agitator. My wife used to keep the lid open while filling and leave it soaking the whole day on our old machine. I read you can do this with the faucet feature but it automatically drains after 3 hours. Also, I read you can pause to unlock the lid, but after trying this hitting play doesn’t start it so I need to hold start for 3 seconds again. Maybe it is starting where it left off, still studying this.I imagine I could live with this machine by using the deep water setting all the time but why have a machine if you have to do this!

This washer is impossible to actually level. I purchased this machine two years ago. This was a bad decision and I would NOT recommend this machine to anyone. I should have spent a little more and bought either an LG front load or a Speed Queen.
