You can actually kill Kyle in this mod? In Mysteries of the Sith, he was impossible to defeat in the final battle this mod remakes. You had to turn your lightsaber off and hope Kyle doesn't kill you before the mission end triggers and the final cutscene plays. The only way to win the game was to do what Vader said is an unwise thing to do - lower your defenses.

Damn, for some reason I thought that the returned Darth Maul could be a test for Luke's new Jedi order. Defeating him and his new Sith army would prove that the new Jedi are not old and can be relied on. Damn, he looks even scarier here and that's cool. Why did they kill Darth Maul and Luke ?

If Luke fought Kylo Ren at Mustafar in 19 ABY before the wedding with Mara Jade.Just like Obi Wan fought Anakin aka Vader at the same place long ago. You know it's an alternative timeline.

This totally makes sense. Kyle Katarn's story is like the EP7 we never had... and a good EP7, IMHO, should have been more similar to EP1, than to EP4, because of the rhymes (long story short: Trilogy of Trilogies, ABA, not ABB, in my opinion)... so, it would have been good to see a new "Duel of the Fates", but with a good ending for the Skywalker family, and not just for the Galaxy. Moreover... I understand that in this game we are the main hero, and that we have to deal with Desann alone... but I always found strange the fact that Luke Skywalker beneath the JA were missing (and, BTW, I would have loved to play a duel alongside him). Just my thoughts, maybe I'm wrong (and sorry for my bad english).
