this has just shown up on my recommended, i've never seen a video from this channel before. but it is so real. the motivation, the "why am i even doing this" feeling can be so strong. but that corolla is awesome, and i hope you can get it to where it works for you!

Motivation is such a difficult hurdle to overcome. I gave up on my DC4 Integra build, just lost all motivation for it. I tried to effectively “buy” motivation by buying various parts for it (Haltech ECU and IC-7 dash for example), but that didn’t work. I ended up parting it out and selling the body to a scrapper. It may have been a different story if the Integra was DRIVEABLE while still a project, but as it very much wasn’t, I never got to enjoy any of my labours. It’s hard to put in effort into something and not get to enjoy those efforts as a reward. So I completely get it. Regardless, it’s cool to see you back making videos. I truly enjoy your content, and look forward to more videos from you.

I know that feeling all too well! I think that’s very similar to my issue with this 86 as I haven’t driven it in so long it’s hard to keep pursuing through the obstacles. I hope you’ve found something you can enjoy and that scratches the itch that the DC4 once did. Thank you for the comment I appreciate it heaps!

I'm a little confused, I need a starter motor for my ae86. Can I buy the adaptor from sq engineering and get an f22b starter motor for and automatic car and it will work?

go onto sq engineerings website and they have the complete list of starter motors that will work with that adapter

Thank you tons for showing the SQ starter kit. I've been reluctant to go that route but now that my starter finally died and the OEM starter is discontinued, I will most likely be ordering my kit tonight. Looks like the install went very well!

i fixed my starter 2 times already .. i m a happy user of a 4ag twin45s deleted ecu .//. quick tip.... after a warm ride trying to turn on the engine feels like engine stall through compression... remember to try turn on keeping the throttle 20%/30% kept opened!!!!! you will realise with opened carb throttlebodies car is turning easier on without those goofy stahls//////// only until it starts no need to let it rev... because car was working before not much moments before swhitched off......there is no need to throtle it before turn engine on/./// Btw my webers are terrible throtleplates ruined no seal good and not even regulator on so my small pump might not ever stop causing leaking...!!!! but still car works like a nice old race car!!!!! just hates 2 days back to back in traffic... after such thing i need a touge mountain easy run to clear the top of the pistons and plugs!!!!! !!!!!
@panospapadimitriou34982 жыл бұрын
are those webers ? feel GENTLE with the throttle .. you dont want to know how much fuel they squirt every throttling 2 times throttle when carb is fueled can enrich the ports MORE THAN ENOUGH.. just wait until pump pushes harder and throttle 2 times if you drown it then need to keep the throttle open for some seconds if no minute !!!!! trust me i blacked out many sparkplugs

What cap is on the dizzy and how did you get it running on coil pack?
@luckyfunclub86413 жыл бұрын
That’s just a blanking cap from sq engineering. It’s a standard distributor with a slight modification to use it as a crank angle sensor and it’s running on an after market ecu allowing the coil on plugs to be used

Sounds like you need more initial timing.

@@luckyfunclub8641 I highly highly recommend PanicMade axles from the US. They are drop in for corolla rear end and come fully loaded with (bearings, studs) and were designed specifically to hold up to BEAMS 3sge drifting.
@luckyfunclub86413 жыл бұрын
@@alexscott9195 I think they’re only to suit certain T series diffs and unfortunately I’ve got a different diff housing st the moment in the car, I will upgrade to the hilux diff that’s in my shed one day but I’m yet to commit to it as I’ve only ever broken one axle But thank you heaps! If I had a diff to suit I’d probably go that route!
