I think the group and the individual suffer because something was left. After all, the group is looked at like they don't know their job. The individual is having to go through another surgery because an x-ray wasn't done before they left the hospital. The individual could have died and now the hospital and all the workers can be sued.

I don't like the theatrics or all the laughter from the goons in the audience not when so many people died that terrible day, March 27, 1977.

Fantástico! Essa preocupação com o ser humano é primordial para que possamos melhorar na qualidade prestada. Enquanto você conta sua experimentos, nós do outro lado do mundo, ajustamos processos não por competição e sim para o paciente, para o ser Humano .

I remember watching one of John Nance's lectures during an orientation to a hospital I had just gotten hired at. I never forgot it, it was an amazing video similar to this. I was actually trying to find it on the internet, with no luck. This is pretty close. He's a great speaker.

Yes, it's great when men can bond over their shared desire to harass women who are trying to do their jobs. Seriously, IHI, maybe it's time for an updated video? Sincerely, an unamused female physician

You refer to the median as average but average is the mean. Median is the middle number in a data set. They are two different things.

I John Whittaker, Am writing this message to those whom give Thumbs up or Give Praise to those for the Waycross Hospital. I would imagine The Hiring push is Partly due to my efforts exposing some of the Corruption Within the Hospital Administration. I Made several attempts to resolve this But Falling on Deaf Ears and dealing with Liars such as Cindy Cleghorn, Who Called me Making Statements saying that they wish to settle. Of Course it was a Ploy to stall Until they could Contact Facebook claiming I was Spamming. See they do not want the People to Know about the Medical Neglect of 08/24/2016. They may have stopped me from doing Standard post on the Hospital Main Site. That's why I contact one at a Time. To Any Attorney That may see this. Should you Bring any Legal action Against the Waycross Georgia Hospital. Please Feel free to contact me for Depositions and as a witness. It is my intent to tell the truth and Place the Hospital in a very unfavorable light.

Bullshit! Trying to fit a crap old linear idea into a world that it can't explain. It's like trying to teach someone how to swim in, a classroom. The patient analogy is rubbish, because people are not widgets.

I am a Nurse Practitioner student and although I understand the intent of this lesson, I believe there are some ethical problems with it that reinforces bias about nurses and women. The video implies that first, nurses are nice to have around because of their sex appeal, and second that all nurses are females. I appreciate your lessons but would you please consider a better example that does not reinforce sexual and career biases. Respectfully, Chelsea.

I don't think nurses are good because of their sex nor they are all women. It''s just common sense. You are inventing a problem where there isn't.

Thank you for this video! At first I thought "Is this something QI folks do in their spare time, turn everything into run charts? So nerdy." By halfway through the video the whole concept made total sense to me though, they're not that difficult to understand when it's explained with a solid everyday example like this! Well done.
