The referee subsequently admitted that he got this call wrong. However, before the 2014 rule book came out, any ball that balanced more than momentarily (ie 3-4 seconds as a rule of thumb) would be replaced, so the referee would have been correct. I think the current wording raises a lot of questions.

The cue ball was still moving at the time the red dropped, so I don’t know why the referee decided as he did.

The red ball took a moment and sink into the pocket while cue ball still rolling..but the Ref conceded it to put back that red ball..Why? to me it still a normal shot,unless the white ball already stop and the opponent got position to make a shot that red sink into pocket,only then the Ref should put back the red ball!!

are there specifications for the roundness of the pocket back? for the depth of the bags? or when an overfilled bag must be emptied of red balls? points should be awarded for balls leaving the surface area between the cushions indicating accuracy of the shot. not being robbed because a full bag rejected a ball, or an odd pocket rejected a ball like in this instance. after all, points are awarded when a pocket rejects a ball it rolls along the rail and pops into another pocket.

he's an idiot. Either he learns some editing skills and have that annoying banner pop up occasionally rather than have it display ON TOP of the scoreboard the entire video (and ALL videos), or he stops uploading all together. This is ridiculous.
