I like how you go over the course. It’s pretty straight forward. I am surprised that I did not see this video earlier. You are very accommodating, and I thank you for that. Your instructions said to make 2 comments following the video, and I was not sure if those comments were supposed to be on the video.

I am looking forward to learning and have knowledge of collaboration and assessment. I see this at my current school and would like to to understand it better and how to reach out to other educators and share what helps them.

The one thing that really stood out to me during this video is how you stated "We are human first. We need to reach the heart of our students before we can demand learning." I think this is a very important way of teaching all ages. It is a great feeling when a teacher or professor actually cares about their students.

I am very excited for this class. I know I am going to learn a lot of useful information that I can use in my future career. I think this will be a great class for me because I took Inclusive Ed last semester, and a lot of information will connect. I am especially excited to write an IEP on my own, after learning so much about them last semester.

I always appreciate project where the students get to pick between two or more options for mode of presentation or subject matter. Though I don’t really know much about a functional behavior analysis or systems for monitoring student progress, I appreciate that I get to chose which one I will create for a project.

I’ve heard a lot about IEPs throughout my school career (both before and during studying to be a teacher) but I’ve never felt fully versed enough. I’m excited to learn about them as I feel every teacher must be equipped to teach every kind of student.

I appreciate the last thirty minutes being asynchronous, I have a difficult schedule in regards to getting to and from school, particularly with night classes and this helps greatly

I think this course is the best thing to take following Inclusive Ed, because last semester we talked about the basics of things like IEPs, and this is going into depth by actually having us fill one out

I think the class seems very accommodating, even in the self assessment prior to class I could see that the class would accommodate everyone. Even though it is something I’ve had for a long time and have not had a seizure in years, I still mentioned my epilepsy and was informed that it would be taken into consideration which meant a lot to me and showed me how welcoming a classroom this is.

I think this will be an excellent follow up to my courses from last semester, namely inclusive ed. Last semester the concept of an IEP was discussed, so it will benefit me greatly to continue into this semester putting the information from last semester into practice by evaluating an IEP for ourselves.

I appreciate all the accommodations in this course, such as the use of a personal phone number and the last half hour of this in-person class being asynchronous. I'm very excited to finally attend this class in person and officially start off the semester :)

As someone who had Inclusive Ed for All Learners last semester, I feel as if this class is a perfect follow-up course and something that I am definitely well-equipped for. - Victoria Sciarra

I assistant teach in a special education classroom. All of my students have IEPs so I am fortunate to have some prior knowledge that I will gladly share with my peers and expand on in this course. This is material that I love to learn about and have a true passion for so I am so excited for this course and to be in class next week!

I think I am going to love having you as a professor. I can already see you are very organized and incredibly accommodating to all of your students' needs. I always appreciate it when a professor provides a personal phone number. I know not everyone agrees with it, but it is nice to know our professor understands that life happens and that may be necessary in the event of an emergency.
