Great tribute. It is crazy to think of how many of the crew were not scheduled to work that day and picked up an extra shift

It’s my brother’s birthday…9/11. My niece was 18 days from being born, though we were hoping she would be born on 9/11. My uncle was supposed to be at the Pentagon that morning, was 45 minutes late. He lost 3 co-workers that morning, one of who was never identified. I know some one who daughter was on flight 93. I know some one else whose cousin was killed as a first responder. I know a WTC 2 survivor.

Hunter, don't worry about being a nontraditional student in terms of age! I went back to college at 55 and things were amazing! I graduated in 2012 and some of my fellow students and staff members remain my friends to this day! I think you will have a great time and your learning will be the same!

I loved every minute of it and I am still working to this day at what I choose to do. Your new t-shirts and hoodie are lovely. Your puppy is very very sweet. Enjoy every minute. Blessings 🙏🍀🌠💖🇨🇦

My son is an almost 50 year old paramedic and going back to school study nursing. And his children, both A students, have to help Dad with his math homework because ... it's been a minute!
@reneeburich94972 ай бұрын
Anything beyond basic math - I think that part of my brain never developed. For nursing school, I had to take a test like that…failed it…got tutoring and learned how to do those math problems, and thank God, the test was the same only different numbers 😀 Passed that time.

Congratulations and I wish you all the best however taking four classes and working is going to be a lot so please don’t make it too hard on yourself and if it’s too much just drop a class or two and chalk it up to experience. What I’m saying is please don’t overwhelm yourself and take care.

I am so happy for you! I was just thinking about you when I came across a TikTok of yours. I too am in school. It just takes balance and definitely control (on your end) when it comes to completing tasks & assignments. Wishing you luck on this journey of yours! PS. I attended IUP, so though I am not a fan of your time at SRU, I forgive you 😆

Congratulations on passing the math text and returning to college. I have a friend who was a UA flight attendant for 20 plus years. By taking some leaves when they were offered, he got an associates degree as a RN. Worked with us as he went to get a combined BSN/MSN. Did go back to flying the minimum but then went back to school to get a doctorate of nursing in Clinical practice. Decided to take a retirement buy out from UA and works as a nurse practitioner on the trauma service at an academic med center in San Diego. He also teaches in the NP program at USD. U can do anything you put your mind to and u never know where the education will take you. The new thing to do is to take class notes on the I pad. You download a program, make the note books for the classes you need and presto, your notes are always with you. Again congratulations on you new academic adventure🥂🙏😎

Thomas.. Thank you for this… I don’t know what I should do with the second part of my life. I’m 57, just landed a job as a Math/Science teacher. $50,000.00.. I was applying for a flight attendant, but, I have no money saved.. So, I need the income from teaching.. I want to get into Cybersecurity and travel.. Lord help me, get money, so I can make more money!!

Good luck with this new chapter. Going back to school can be tough, but if you’re passionate about it, you will do it. I’m interested to see how the flying will impact school. Took me around 7 years to finish my degree. No shame.
