And I totally agree that like of Joseph was such a powerful testimony and witness to the power of God available to each of us as well! One of my favorite authors has some similar thoughts on the life of Joseph, as she writes "The descendants of Abraham, Jacob and his posterity, were brought down to Egypt that in the midst of that great and wicked nation they might reveal the principles of God's kingdom. The integrity of Joseph and his wonderful work in preserving the lives of the whole Egyptian people were a representation of the life of Christ. Moses and many others were witnesses for God." Wow good call. That's definitely interesting! Yeah-while I was reading it-in the back of my mind I was thinking; Hmm so this is where we get the concept of dukes? Because I've heard of dukes from medieval times, so I associated "dukes" with castles and knights in shining armor and such 😅 So you prompted me to look into it a bit more, and here's what I found: The word "duke" in these chapters is based on the Hebrew word "אַלּוּף" (pronounced "aw-lof"). The KJV translates it in the following manner: duke (57x), guide (4x), friends (2x), governors (2x), captains (1x), governor (1x), ox (2x). Wow yeah, what a transition that must have been for Jacob. We are truly in the school of Christ. I'm learning too 😃 Now that you mention the name thing... Revelation 2:17 comes to mind, where I believe God wants us to know that He has a new name in store for each of us, as well, if we follow Him where He leads. Check out what it says: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.” ...... So interesting! I wonder what our new names will be 💭

I am praising God helping me learn how to do this while also beings busy with a full time job and tending to the other necessities of life. Jesus watched over us and takes care of us 🙏 He has something in store for you-something special, I'm sure of it. I've tested His promises and i trust Him completely. He is the best one to follow, in this life and for eternity! Let me share this passage that encouraged me. It's found in John 9:4, where Jesus tells his disciples "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work." I firmly believe we has an amazing window of opportunity to work with Jesus in sharing His invitation to follow Him withthe world. I don't know how long this window will be open for, but we have it now. And God calls us all in different ways. I encourage you to pray on that verse I shared with you and ask God what it means for you and your life. He will show you. 😃

You're so right! That's a Bible promise and we can claim it as we seek to do the will of God. Philippians 4:19 promises "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Such encouragements to know that God cared about helping us out!

Let's go!! God's word has such power. As we journey through the Bible, we'll keeping praying every day that God help us understand. It'll be life changing-His word is life. I mean think about how we read in Genesis that it was by His Word that things were spoken into existence 🙌 I know that sometimes these early books in the Bible leave lots of questions as we read, but they are good opportunity for study. And check out what God promises in Isaiah 55:11. He says: "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." His word will accomplish what He intends it to, as you ask Him for that to happen! He'll be faithful to show you what that means for you life! I'm stoked we're on this journey with Him 🙏

I was wanting a bible reading program/channel without all the chatter, it’s ok, to chat a bit, just not so much of it, ya know what I mean? Your bible reading is great, and your voice is pleasant. I have some catching up to do tonight as I just got off work, see you tomorrow, is there a specific time you film or just when you can do it? Either way is fine, I ding the bell and try to catch it.

@@Phrenicglitter_Itsallinmyhead Nice! Im trying to film readings in advance to make certain that I do not miss any days due to unforeseen circumstances. So as I type this message, I currently have up to date 13 filmed and scheduled. My goal is to keep getting further ahead with it as time allows, so that I can have it all filmed by September in case my wife and I have to move. And that will give me time to prepare for the next phase of our adventure, once we finish reading through the Bible 😃

Thanks! Day 1 took several tries. Being in front of a camera, even while it’s not pointing at you feels very unnatural 😅 I’m learning better camera placement. So by day 13, the focus will be a bit better. I also learned how to better manage closed captioning so that people can read along without the automatic captions getting the words wrong. I’m stoked, and this is great practice. Will get through the year of 2025 with this format, and then probably change it up a bit in 2026. 😃 Hoping I can have all of the years videos recorded, edited, and uploaded, and scheduled by September 🙏 Oh haha and I figured out how to make a chronological playlist for these :) fun!

God’s Word is life! Eventually I will try to get a more stable camera mount so it hopefully is easier to read for those who want to follow along on a big screen 😃

So far, I'm thinking that will probably be the one. It's one of about 8 versions I can find that are in the public domain and allowed to be read without copyright problems. However in order to get around the old-english wording I was hoping to try to read it in a more conversational way. Still praying about it. What are your thoughts on a version choice?

@ I see. Thanks for sharing your reasoning and being open to feedback. The New American Standard Bible (NASB) is considered the translation that most closely adheres to the original Hebrew and Greek texts. That would be my suggestion but please, pray on it.

@@servantbyday I like the NASB too! Earlier this month I had reached out to The Lockman Foundation (the ones who own the copyright to the NASB) and asked for permission to read the NASB in its entirety on this channel. They said it would only be acceptable if I posted videos no longer than 10 minutes long of reading, so since the sessions might be closer to 20-30mins, I would be ineligible to read the NASB on this channel. But now that you bring it up, I will ask if they would be willing to allow me a bit more time per video session.

So proud of you brother! I need this tool to help me feel less anxious about getting into the word. Keep it up! My husband and I will be following along 🎉
