This interviewer thinks EW is "lovecraftian". Fuck her questions are hard to stomach. Since when was anybody a fan of EW just because they might read Lovecraft? When I heard lovecraft references it surprised me. I didn't listen to EW just because I had read some lovecraft in the past..

Everything they are complaining about government can be applied to any private capitalist enterprise. It's not about how big or small it is but the fact that it has a vertical hierarchy instead of a horizontal democracy that's the catalyst. Numbers that Sowell points to can only carry and express so much of a sociopolitical situation. Just think about how much "freedom" you really have at your place of work.... Melvins are charlatans Contrarians to a degree because they question the government but they don't question THE MAN that controls the government... their boss.... the bourgeoisie. They'll brush it off because they can't admit to that because they depend on them for livelihood.... "liberty" what again, Buzz?.....

I think its because they worship the band so much and their onstage persona when they're playing music, its embarrassing to see the them in another light. Talking is a game just like music and its the interviewers game. I think thats why Deathgrips doesn't even do interviews.

I dunno. It's hard to say because they never actually give a reason. I halfway think people say it just because they feel obligated to since that's what everyone else always says. Kinda like how some bands are considered uncool on the internet, so people feel obligated to not like them.
