Did you ever figure out that you dont need to glue or tape the binding just cut it big and pull and stretch while your going around it? Then you would trim close to the stitching afterwards. Also an edge guide helps a lot. Either the kind built into the pressure foot or the swing down.

That tractor is going to be so nice when it is ready, you are doing a good job, thank you for showing this to us.

Awesome job as usual. The ladder episode is something right out of a Three Stooges skit. Maybe you could do a replay & have someone film it? The ole tractor is coming along greatly. It probably can't wait to get out to the back 40. Just love the seat suspension. I've seen quite a few old farm implements rusting away in the fields, by the barn, etc. but I don't remember any having the spring. Perhaps that's equivalent to folks taking carburetors, radiators, etc. off cars when they park them for the last time? No hurry, but, ready for the next one. By the way, I sent a small contribution to you last month & I hope it got to you. Just mentioning it so you can make some contacts if it wasn't received. Happy motoring!

Car looks really good under the hood. Two lane back roads any day. It’s always good to get away, but ain’t it good to get home? What’s cool about this car is how nice it is and that you don’t see them.

I was stationed at Altus AFB in the mid seventies. I drove my 63 Lincoln from Altus to San Antonio for a week of electronics training and took that same route. Good memories. Another time, driving my Aunt's 72 Coupe de Ville south towards Vernon just crossed into Texas, and got a ticket for speeding at 63 MPH. Of course in those days the national speed limit was 55. I always thought those Rivs were interesting but like you I would prefer a 60s model.

If all the plastic parts and electronics allow ANY vehicle from the ‘90s to become maintainable and collectible years from now, I think these Riviera’s might be a favorite. The styling is very pleasing, the 3.8 a dependable engine, and the supercharger sets it apart from its peers.

What ... a ... ride. But thanks for taking us along. I think, at the end of the trip, I would have literally rolled out of the car. I think your kids will be talking about this trip for many years to come. Glad to see everyone made it back safe & sound. Take care!

We had 2 Rivi's and one was NA and the other was Charged and we put 64000 on the one we bought used with the charger. What I can say is, My in-laws were Cadillac folks and our Riviera was 2 times the car their last El Dorado was. It was SUPER COMFORTABLE on the road.

The zinc primer may actually be protecting the regular primer as well through the galvanic action. I am using this inside panels on a VW bus after I cut away and test the rusty parts. Hopefully will add some protection for me there! Thanks for doing the follow up video!

As the remaining Kent Moore tools become scarcer and the old time mechanics give up the trades, jobs like this will become more and more difficult to have done. The old time Babbitt bearing guys are just about all gone now.

My question is, had you done the steering adjustment first would that have solved the issue instead of the other way around. With the slop and play, adjust steering and if it doesn’t work, king pins and stabilizer pins?

You ran the cleaning brush through the main bearing block holes and I'm sure that you cleaned the cam bearing oiling holes, BUT I did'nt see you remove the galley plugs in the front and rear of the block! There is usually a ton of junk behind those press-in plugs and I always run a cleaning brush through those holes and tap them 1/4" pipe thread to make sure that they stay in and don't leak oil! I always use a peice of thin wall plastic tube for the rod bolts to save the surface of the crank journal. just saying... Enjoyed the video tho.
