for me, they had an “open house” in june n august. we started in august. (open house = tour, etc) so they gave me a schedule and map, i knew where my locker was, i knew how to open it, i had met all my teachers, etc! so i knew the basics but didnt like socializing 😭 also the lunch was better in elementary.

So here in Norway where i live you start at middel school at 8th grade and i am still a 6th grader about to go to 7th grade yeah

I’m starting middle school and the thing about my school is that it is in one entire building Elementary, Middle, and High school are in the same building as it’s a private school and on a college campus so we get the same lunch and all of middle and high school go to lunch at the same time so it’s probably 50 kids going down the same side walk and so it’s basically the same building I’ve always been in except I’m on the third floor and the first floor again,Also we get to mess with the kindergartners and elementary kids son our way back from lunch as they play outside when it’s warm and there is a field or what we call the meadow between the cafeteria and the school building

Me, a 6th grader going into 7th grade in 4 school months, and 2 and a half summer months: hmmm interesting

Im going to end fifth grade in 3 months then 3 months after (when school starts) i probably won’t make it lol

How my school worked: M, T Students last names starting in A to K will be in person others at home W All at home early release T, F Students last names starting in L to Z will be in person others at home no switching u had everybody in the same class for all classes expect special classes (art pe music health etc) you had to pick one and that was the one you had recess was split amongst home room so one had swings one had soccor area one had the hut one had the concrete and etc no homework!

Im 27, and it's already been almost 4 years since I've graduated university. So I hate to admit it at this point in my life, but I often get nostalgic for middle school. It was such an experience I'll never get again
