adding on to the Paimon theory, she also never says "I" so "Paimon" could be a persona and when she introduces herself she says "Paimon's name is Paimon!" as if she is introducing another person, maybe she has a curse that she's incapable of lying. she never gives much information about herself, which also supports the curse of not being able to lie. edit: there are also alternatives to what could be preventing her from being able to lie, she could have an oath and sworn never to lie to people. I don't know but I don't think she's able to lie. ANOTHER edit: adding onto the unable to lie theory, if you read into her opinions of other characters it could show so much about the other characters around her, for example, barbatos could know too much then what she'd like which is why she dislikes him so much but her obsession with Mora could show that she appreciates Morax which ALSO explains Morax's dislike of Barbatos because Barbatos is a threat to Paimon and Morax is one of Paimon's biggest supporters so Paimon likes Mora. also Paimon showing up in Mondstadt after being kicked out of Celestia and Barbatos immediately starting to play a bigger part in the protection of Mondstadt could suggest that Barbatos is meant to watch over Paimon. but if that's true why would he leave at the end? I think Paimon or her supporters could have been threatening him and him losing his Gnosis could've caused him to feel unsafe keeping an eye on Paimon anymore. As well as that, there are so many things that should've caused the Heavenly Principles get involved (for example, Furina preventing the destruction of Fontaine) them not getting involved could've been because Paimon was there and was preventing it from happening. I haven't gotten to do any Fontaine quests yet but I may be able to add on to this when I do, so far I have just done the Mondstadt and Liyue quests.
