This… is… awesome! Thank you so much. Growing up, my dad got me into Chet Atkins playing his stuff on his 8-track player (sadly he passed about 3 years ago). I’ve always wanted to learn this song on guitar & can’t believe I’ve waited this long. Thanks also for the tab. Looks like some hard work for sure, but man, I’m gonna have some fun with this!

Can you let me know what pedals (if any) you’re using for this? Or is it straight into the amp.

The RE-301 has a sweetness to my ears. It sounds nice and musical whereas the other two pedals are harsher.

I struggle to understand how to get a rockabilly sound. I like the re-20 from this demo, but it looks like it is not made anymore. Do I need a particular amp also and a Gretsch guitar? Any help is appreciated
@theteledynesАй бұрын
You might be able to get one on eBay for reverb. They do make the RE-202 which is basically the same thing with a few more bells and whistles. I think you can get a good Rockabilly sound with any kind of tube amp. I like Gretsch, but Telecasters work nice too. Thanks again.

Great video. Just a thought about the last 2 chords. To me the ending that sounds closest is a (root on 5th string) Bb9 to A9, but using only partial chords - using 2nd, 3rd and 4th strings ie no root note, and no 1st string note. It's easily played at 13th to 12th frets.
