OMG NOOO you destroyed the coverstock. this video should be titled "How NOT to Resurface a bowling ball" my friend has a ball spinner and he refurbished my white dot bowling ball and you cant tell the difference between that and a brand new one. he also filled the deep cuts and painted it! in your video the ball is full of grid lines and the reflection is stretched and blurred. It looks nothing like new. it looks like a scratched ball with polish. and you made it like an egg by shaving it.

1) Big flat gouge on the ball that you removed a TON of coverstock for when you could've just plugged that small hole and done a PROPER resurface. 2) You don't have any grid lines on the ball -- if her track flows with the grain of your sanding lines, it's going to hook much less/read too late; the opposite being the case if they go against the grain. 3) I would not be surprised if one took a surface scanner and read a bunch of wacky grits on the ball: one spot might say 5500 while another will read like 1500 because you didn't bother to surface the ball properly on all four sides. That's kind of part of the reason the manufacturer recommends it. Overall this ball is COMPLETELY illegal for use in any sanctioned league and your PSO license ought to be revoked. You should've responsibly informed the customer of the proper solution (clear resin plug) or at the very least tell her this is actually a 30-45 minute job when done right. Instead you ruined a bowling ball and look like an ignorant fool on KZbin. Bless.

You should not shave the ball,and 100 grit is too low. i would suggest beginning from 360. And when you polish you better polish 4 times in different directions so the shine wont look like a car windshield. (stretched reflection)

This made me cry. Pro shops that do this right would clear plug the deep gauges. 2nd, the finished product, you can still see the log grid sanding lines in the ball. I would dislike this video a million times if I could.
