I got a bunch of junk off of Temu. Mostly flashlights and rechargeable batteries. I got a med kit that was decent. All the rechargable batteries are a ripoff. they say the batteries are way more powerful than they really are. most flashlights ran dead in about 20 min or less. Rechargable NiMH batteries that were rated at 1100mAH tested out at about 300mAH.

I use nite eyes hip clip stainless steel stick on clip. It’s thin and easy to install on anything. Just peel and stick.

My clip doesn’t seem to fit as tight to the scale as yours does. There’s quite a gap between it and the knife scale. I thought of bending it more to make it fit tighter but don’t want to ruin it. I could send it back to amazon and exchange it for another one. Any thoughts? 0:18

Why did they not Make one to fit the compact.

I've got the same 2 lights, really happy with them for $2 👍 Press either 2 or 3 times for side lights.

The other benefit over the standard Swiss clip is that this clip allows for easy access to the tweazers.

Nice find! And I’m definitely with ya on the SwissQlip. I bought two and installed them and was immediately unhappy with them. While they looked great and appeared to be very innovative, the top part of it was too close to the clip and would not allow pocket material to go all the way in. So, I took it off and bent it away from the knife and then bent the bottom back towards the scale to allow more room. Of course, it did not go at all like I planned, but got it to work. 😁 This appears to be a way better design.

I also got the super tinker, will definitely get one to try it out.

I'm using ordinary shoe laces which I'm turning tightly around the the knife which will protect the knife, ugly but very practical. (For bag carry)

Used the Trayvax Element for a couple of years. Thing I didn't like about it is that you would have to put cards in upside down in order to prevent the metal rivet from damaging the chip on credit cards. Wish they had positioned the brand and made in USA stamp differently.

I started using this modification since I ....well... have too many SAKs. Depending on what I am doing I can now easily change between the plethora of knives at my disposal. Great video by the way.

A quick question about the start of the video; why did you need scissors when you had the SAK with you? I'm guessing the reason why you chose the Compact was because it has scissors on it plus it has a knife but you went and got scissors to do the project which you say aren't sharp.

Serious question man... WHENEVER you take scales off a Vix, there's like 100% guarantee that there will be at least small, tiny bits and pieces broken off when they're taken down. So if you try to re-install them, you will 100% have some gaps, etc. How did you manage to move the green ones from one knife into your Compact without encountering this problem?

I've had my SAK slip out of my pocket while sitting in the car. This is the perfect fix to make sure I don't lose it

I’ve come full circle back to just dropping it in my pocket. Everything else is hassle, everything else slows you down or gets in your way. Loose in your pocket is just so much more satisfying and convenient, for me. I used to fear I would lose them but for most pockets in most garments they won’t slip out unless you’re bungee jumping. I ain’t bungee jumping.

for the flashlight its the same UI as a real rovyvon double press for on/front and triple press for back and hold for off
