There's so much to this video, there ought to be a transcription available for those of us who learn and absorb more quickly by visual/reading. I am working on some initiatives/projects regarding specifically Standards 5-8 with the aim of improving the entire mental health system. I hope to work with your office one day to begin ensuring that cultural competency is a subject to be studied at top public health universities and/or online MOOCs (multi-open online courses such as Coursera) with a fast track to leadership for the top students (e.g. getting into Boston Medical's CC leadership program). By raising and teaching in this way, I believe it is very doable to have the first graduating class of 1500 create several core curriculums or modules to go travel across the U.S. across accountable care organizations (especially including courts and law enforcement) to train what cultural competency is about and why it is important to integrate in their planning and decision making to ensure patient/person-centered safety and culturally-competent centric care.
