Rebor's Kiss is an anatomical disaster, one of the worst_ if not THE worst _ on the market : As noted by Leyater AKA Paleonerd over at dino toy forum , when compared to Matt Dempsey's rigorous Musculature schematic Kiss has quote" exaggeratedly ripped" musculature obviously either quote " heavily inspired by the JP maquette/anatomy" or from mammalian musculature _ " the muscles do not even match Dempsey's diagram ". Particularly offensive are the neck musculature & the fantastically ripped musculature on the hindlimbs , having" muscles where it shouldn't" at " the back of it's leg". Subsequent admission & bragging via Rebor about consulting mammal vets & Human surgeons rather than actual qualified Paleontologists have only confirmed Leyster's suspicions: Rebor's been sticking mammalian musculature on dinosaurs the entire time . Tyrannosaurus was a muscular animal,but it was a reptile with reptilian musculature not Arnold Schwarzenegger. Go take a look at the Tyrannosaurus designs of Blue Rhino Studios, Prehistoric Planet, Saurian, Eofauna ,PNSO, BOTM, or heck , look up actual ostrich musculature..... You'll find that NONE resemble Kiss ,as NONE have mammalian musculature. The over textured corn cob scalation is inexcusable . Comparison between Eofauna's steller "Sue" and Rebor's "Kiss", really underlines how off Rebor's is. Rebor basically put different keratin coverings " on a JP head _ it does NOT fit actual Tyrannosaurus skulls_ is far too wide and broad( one of numerous reasons why I retired mine from the shelf to the garbage bin ). Spare your money , Eofauna ,BOTM and PNSO's Cameron ( barring liplessness) are ACTUALLY THE definitive representatives of Tyrannosaurus on the market

As with every other Smilodon currently on the market( Papo,TNG,Mojo, Safari,CollectA , Sean Cooper,ALL OF THEM) ,Rebor is wholly inaccurate to actual Smilodon preportions. In true anatomy_ ignorant Rebor fashion, Rebor makes the same mistakes as every other Smilodon on the market and then some: Oversized head( Smilodon had a proportionally smaller head), regular Pantherine face( Smilodon/ Machairodonts in general had tall almost horse-like faces dissimilar to Pantherines), oversized/ grossly exaggerated fangs extending further past the mandible than in any actual Smilodon skulls, hindlimbs that are far too short,steroid induced exaggerated "unrealistically ripped" over musculature that Rebor tried to excuse via human anatomy & insinuation that Mauricio Anton ( THE expert on Smilodon anatomy) is quote an " average enthusiast/ Rebor knows better , and removable of Smilodon's proportionally long neck / replacement with far too short a neck. Not only is Rebor's Smilodon not the best on the market, anatomically,it's objectively the WORST on the market. Unsurprising, considering it comes from a company as illiterate to anatomical accuracy and anatomy in general as Rebor _ these are the same idiots who consulted unqualified mammalian vets and human surgeons to stick mammalian musculature on Dinosaurs,stuck regular Crocodilian integument on Deinosuchus, and ( originally) stuck squamate scales on an American alligator _ all while lying about being quote " experts in animal anatomy ". Bottom line? Do the work of fact checking yourself before propping something up as the quote " best " on the market. To date,the only accurate Smilodon on the market _ that gets the preportions right_ is the incredible upcoming Cyborzoic Smilodon by Creative Beast Studio

That's funny, mine is missing a tooth in the same spot. I think the raptor series is definitely underrated. These raptor's translate very well into action figure form. Very elegant looking figures. I am partial to Dromaeosaur's though.

It's a great model! Probably the best Edmontosaurus on the market. I like how you managed to stand the Olorotitan up bipedally btw, not many people seem to know it can stand on its hind legs alone, without the tail to make it a tripod.

@samspeaks20163 ай бұрын
I thought the same thing originally about the larger beasts having duller schemes like elephants, rhinos, hippo's, ect. but those examples we have are mammals, dinosaurs come from a lineage of reptiles. We know Edmontosaurus had patterns on it from the mummified Dakota specimen and beasts comparable to its size don't ever really have markings. Then again, a Galapagos tortoise would be very similar to a dinosaur being the same thing with a keratin sheath on its beak like a Steg and they're dull in coloration too so who knows, they could have looked like anything. But being larger reptiles in such a different environment I certainly haven't dismissed the idea they could have been super diverse in color like many lizards today.

Yep just bought mine today. Been stewing on it for days. I have a soft spot for feathered dinos and this one in particular looks like something from a horror movie. Those claws, eyes and teeth tell me this thing must have terrorized anything that came across it. And make no mistake. Evolution doesn’t give you claws like that for looks. Those things def threw hands
