Love this content, Ive been trying to work on my art as well and keep up with working on my favorite things to make. But I worked at a cafe for almost a year recently and it made it really difficult to want to make art at all, but the fact that we have the strength to stand 8 hours a day and also deal with the difficult stuff at the service job says a lot. We can also put energy like that into the things we want to do for ourselves and not just for survival!! 🫶🏽 great sentiment

great video! though it's important to note that for some neurotypes as well as people with disabilities, forcing yourself through things gets *harder,* not easier. personally, i tried the pommodoro technique for 1 day and it gave me art burnout for 3 years ^^; what has helped me more is thinking of it less like a job and more like walking; all that needs to be seen as a chore is the first step. if you struggle with strict schedules, set a bare minimum for yourself for the day that isn't daunting, and then continue from there if you feel like you can. that's what makes it fun! and this has made it so that whenever i'm not drawing i get the urge to, instead of *having* to draw and getting the urge to take a break. i first learned this from one of drawfee's drawclasses a couple years ago and it always helps me get back into drawing whenever i'm tired :)

thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! different techniques work for different people and i really appreciate you sharing your experience and the techniques that worked for you. having a good time with it is truly what matters! also i looove drawfee, i'll definitely give their drawclasses a watch. thanks again for watching and sharing your insights ✨
