More beautiful is the. same duet from the unreplaceable voices of Montserrat Caballe and Shirley Verrett. No screeching or forcing any notes but a duet already considered as a classic and one to emulate.

Pretty good czech pronunciation. :) Obdivuji, že je interpretce docela dobře rozumět. Některé hlásky jsou samozřejmě pro nerodilého "mluvčího" zakleté, ale výkon opravdu hodný obdivu.

There are some glorious moments, but sadly evidence of vocal decline were also becoming apparent. On the other hand, and to put it into context, this is a live recording, so there could be no second take. She is one of my favourites, and for me, her early recordings are unparalleled in terms of clarity and agility. May she rest in peace.

She is the only performer of this aria where the high G sounds free and vibrating with tone and vibrato. Everyone else sounds tight or squeeky.squeaky. She kept going for a long time. Sang professionally for over 40 years.

Sometimes i get sad when I see Pretty Yende doing A LOT of things such as lakme, le comte ory or even la traviata, in my vision she's meant to do THIS kind of role and not that very light soprano sound they insist on her

Úžasná speváčka. Spievat česky cudzincom je veľmi ťažké. Chyby sa nájdu aj väčšie, ale dá sa to pochopiť a odpustiť. Hlas a precitenie krásne.❤

Agnes Baltsa is magnificent, it's a real pleasure listening to this recording. I just compared this to a recording by Elena Suliotis who apparently fancied herself to be the "next Callas". it's fairly obvious when you listen to her rendition, which is just one undisciplined volcanic eruption after another, replying on vocal trickery and brute force to reach the upper registers. The strain is painfully audible in certain segments. Apparently she burned out fairly early in her career which is too bad.
