Please can I mention how helpful you have been for me in the last 2 years - my english teacher would never teach us how to analyse quotes which is something i have struggled since year 9. but you have taught me that you dont only need language techniques but subject terminology also - thank you very much. Ur so underrated and so helpful. Lol i wish u were my teacher irl

Very very useful and I like this walk through of a response. I haven’t seen many other channels do this. Could you do this for Language Paper 2. There are no useful walk-through responses for that paper. I find it so hard to understand what to write for that paper. All of it is a struggle.

This is great but can I ask how far you are allowed to stray from the picture they give you? I've noticed many teachers say it is just a starting point - a springboard - from which to take your imagination wherever it wishes to go, leaving the picture quickly behind...

Kathy's 'misty' and almost human like fragmented memory, highlighted by her attempt to connect with us through a reader in the text, illustrates her imperfections although the common perception of a genetically modified clone is that they are 'perfect', could this be an example of disturbing the reader?
@englishteacherinternationa92065 жыл бұрын
Hi Miles. This is a really interesting question. In short, I think it can. Perhaps it is the 'uncanny' nature of the clones that makes them somewhat disturbing. There are several examples of this in the novel. So, yes, their almost human imperfections (including fragmented memory) is disturbing and unsettling for the reader.
