Here's my interpretation. In trying to rhyme in English I've had to change a few words but hopefully its pretty close to the sentiment of Eivor's original. Also I'm not a Faroese speaker ( or a poet!) so apologies to Eivor. The original words are "ein føgur sóljudrotning" = "a fair sun queen" but "sólja" is a buttercup.** original words are "ein føgur stjørnusól" = "a fair sun-star".
