@LadsLetLoosePodcast it's still a good game imo. For no other reason than it has no competition in its given genre really. If the devs would put the time and money into actually polishing it so it ran well and was user friendly to control things, I think there wouldn't be much room for competition to even try to creep up. As of right now, the genre has a hole someone can still fill if they wanted to.

@godofm3tal1 I personally agree with everything you originally said, despite the fact I know plenty of the other lads are enjoying it a lot. To play a game that you expect to freeze or even just totally shut down is a bit mind boggling. But, as you say as well: great concept, and I'm glad people enjoy it. - Frank

@@godofm3tal1 Yea dude its completely outclassing everything in the large scale tactical FPS game category while still missing heaps of stuff that gamers whinge about e.g. graphics. The reason that it can do this is because BI just throw down a sandpit and the kids with the mods go nuts and create a game themselves, for the players, by the players. Excellent business model and I don't usually condone mods being sold for money but for this game in particular I would since its 90% of what makes it good. This just shows you that if a developer actually LISTENS to the playerbase they win every time. Its not even that hard.

Even with a monster PC rig, the Arma series never ran well. Bohemia put out a functioning game, then release DLC/expansions. They forget to optimize their game.

It’s fun af if you know what you’re doing

Some PC players actually switch to controller for certain things like driving or flying and use mouse for inventory management and shooting. Personally I like having the variety of button combinations in reach so I stick to keyboard. Not sure how those pilots in Squad fly with mouse though. That seems quite advanced.

Someone has a skill issue

So far what peeves me in arma ps5 is the very long delay in weapon switch, reload, throwing grenades/smoke etc and getting in and out of vehicles. The many times I've got shot during weapon switch is a bi.tch.

PS5 will have to wait for mods to get night vision. It isn't planned for the base game. The only thing you might get is a star light scope since it was available in the 1980's.

Build radio stations

Yeah the radio stations allows default spawns then an arsenal allows customs once you have the radio. Also building field hospital living quarters etc gives you more spawn locations at that point of interest so you cant be spawned camped as easily and allows you to be strategic with placement if you’re considering defense while you build
