I don't do mockball like that. There's no need to hold any direction arrow after jumping. Run > Jump > release forward. You should have jump and dash held. You'll be flying through the air. Tap down and Samus will stay pointing down and continue moving forward through the air with no direction arrows being held. When hitting the ground, press down and roll your finger to forward (called QCF or quarter circle forward or down+down forward+forward). This is how I learned to do mockball it and it works every single time.

They kinda made his AI a little weaker in this version. In the original, where he took you depended on the damage. Usually if you hit him hard to being with he'd take you to the desert and then use Magnetic Storm on the second round to finish you off. He still looks pretty tough even now. One of my favorite battles in the game, especially if you had a mech with Satellite Linker. It didn't do too much extra damage but lasted the ENTIRE battle instead of the bit system.

Would have been nice if this was done online, as an option, too. I can't use the program, cause it's x64-processor bound, and I have a 32-bit laptop. :(

I don't know if web-based is ever planned, but if it is it would be far down the road from now. I'm guessing this is a Python issue.

Short term there isn't anything you can do. If you have access to a 64-bit environment, you'll have to use that. This definitely sounds like a Python issue and I don't know how to get around it.@@ZatohRondohoon3227

ooh this is exciting! i had assumed MFOR was retired so this is a nice surprise, ive had a ton of fun with the last version! im having some trouble with the new download link on the forum post though, it keeps failing shortly after starting on both firefox and edge. do you have any idea why that would be/how to fix it?

It could be a dropbox issue. It uses tokens now, which is stupid for many reasons. Here's the direct link to the resource page over at metconst: metroidconstruction.com/resource.php?id=714 I'll update the description to reflect this.

@@Lenophis hm thats not working either, it just loaded for a while before telling me there was some sort of problem connecting to metroid construction so i guess i'll have to work that out on my own

@@sneakyscarab Two things come to mind: 1) The site might be having some issues. Try later? 2) Are your referrals off by any chance? Some websites might block downloading if it detects traffic isn't flowing on the site.

@@Lenophis after more testing i was able to get it downloaded on a second computer which is able to make seeds and send them off to be played so good enough. still no clue what made it act so strangely though.

catJAM is a Twitch emote that people associated with the music bug that happened with BOX-2. When killing him specifically, the BOX fight music would resume after the fight ends, unless you just happened to get a major item from BOX-2. It was a silly bug that a lot of people wanted to be kept in, and has been fixed for the previous 2 years. I'll probably make it the Herobrine joke of Fusion rando.

@@Lenophis Oh I see, I played the randomizer I think over 100 times making the difficulty level 5 and in all those times I fought BOX-2 maybe 3 times so I forgot that can happen, lol.
