I'd personally use an *_actual_** cross-plane 90° small-block EFI **_American_** V8* in that thing.

I can’t wait to see this on the strip, or the street. With the Rover V8 consigned to the scrap heap of history, Mercedes, BMW and Jaguar mills are going to be big. They’re taking over from the Rover among hot rodders here in Britain.

Completely petrified over this build. Wizardry backed up with a good budget can be dangerous...
@sidewayzmike7 ай бұрын
Nothing nice about your build, sir. I think its scary, personally. Your m62 decisions are putting a power to weight ratio that is completely obsurd, and you have serious guts/balls sir. Maybe a safer chassis, albeit overly too common and no longer original, would be to do that driveline/powerplant into a $500 clapped out e30 😅. You decided on a t bucket chassis! What are you running for motor mounts? Hydraulic filled or solid or eurathane or poly? Inquiring minds would like to know. Also, clear me up on your cam decisions. Are you saying, the engine runs intake camshafts in place of the original exhaust cams? I believe anything is possible, as long as the clearance is there. This is coming from a small minded m20 fan, btw 😂

Hi, as an old dragster driver and current supercharged Jaguar guy, I have 4 of them. I am a currently a Tbucket builder and computer tech nerd, I would say install a Holley and a Powerglide on the car and hang on !! Don't get me wrong I love the tech, but if you really want to haul ass, and I am guessing that is the plan with the nitrous bottle lurking out back, then simple and slightly rich will make you really happy. The car is awesome !!

If I recall someone did this in a formula A race car back 70's. Maybe one of the Smuthers brothers who raced in that series. How did you rephase the ignition firing order to cooperate?

Which ignition coils are u using? Awesome build!

VAG R8 coils, aftermarkets. They trigger directly from the 5v out of the efi controller and work great.

@WickedTRX Жыл бұрын
don't know what ECU you're running but usually on a transient, going lean and then rich is related to fuel angle/timing.

48IDA, each barrel flow 330cfm with std horn and 42mm choke,with same choke and custom horn:345,with same choke,custom horn and bored to 51.5mm:362cfm, the basic 660cfm should be good for 950hp. Depends if your adapter is restricting that cfm to lower. time to 3D print a good one. 60mm throttle body is 600cfm, 70mm = 815 cfm, 105mm is 1520cfm = 2188.80hp.

I didn't pass the tech inspection. They wanted a full cage as well as other things to close off the body. So I put the car in the car show side and we hung out for a couple days, met Freiburger. Lucky gave the bucket a thumbs up.
