Grateful for this video - just found a copy of Tele's book in Anacortes today...then saw a stack at MONA in LaConner this afternoon. Now I'll have her voice in mind as I read.

Wow! I've not heard this group since the cassette tape from 1978 (maybe 1980) made on a Panasonic tape recorder, when they played at the Cannon Beach High School gymnasium! I've had this tape since around that time... always loved their songs.

Awesome! What year is this?

I once upon a time lived in the Norwegian fishing town of Ballard, Washington. But living six blocks up from the docks, and being of sound Swedish stock, don't make you a fisherman. Rob, here, however, shows it, sounds like it, walks our town like it. I'm lucky to live in the same community with the man. From my earliest days of reading Mutiny on the Bounty, Moby Dick, and other seafaring books, dreaming of a life at sea, (but becoming a land-hugging writer), the closest I've come to it is living next door to friends like Rob. Something about them that reminds me of how I came to believe that living that life is a helluva way to become a truth-telling, unapologetic poet. We owe them. Really do.
