the 2002 escalade's were built with simplicity in mind, to remove our headlights all we have to do is turn 2 Alan wrench shaped bars and the whole headlight assembly pops out. IDK way they didn't stay with this type of method with the later year escalades. smh Cadillac

Yup. Totally agree. I had a 2002 escalade before this one. It was much easier to work on.

This gentleman inspired me to replace the damaged ballast and all of the lights even though they still worked. I removed all of the 10mm front grill bolts and one of the two bumper bolts underneath. This allowed me to swing the bumper and grill out to allow plenty of room to get the headlight out and back in. I put the two bumper bolts under the wheel well shroud and the one underneath back in, then went to the other side and repeated those steps. That allows you to keep the bumper and grill in alignment to make it a whole lot easier to complete the job.

Great video and very informative however you really should have used some dielectrical grease on all your connections while the headlight bezel was out...including the ballast... the reason you have moisture in the ballast is because you have very small hairline cracks in your headlight bezel... it sucks but I know this by experience.. I had the exact same problem...

Moisture is a sure killer of lights and connections. Don't go through all this work without removing the moisture, see the other links regarding heating them up and resealing them. That moisture drained all the way down into the ballast and ruined it. It is just a matter of time before all the connections in there corrode. your video shows everyone what they have to go through. Thanks.

Yeah, he should have used a heat gun or hair dryer and removed all the moisture, then resealed the gasket with silicone. His head light burned out again without a doubt.

yeah I'm watching all these youtube videos on how to remove the lights and RESEAL them. My escalade has a headlight that gets a lot of condensation inside of it too! No way am I paying a dealer $1k+ to fix it. I will be doing this within the next week so wish me luck LOL!

I have a 14, 16, and 24 inch woks and believe me that 24" is about as big you want to go any bigger and your into an industrial sized wok. I'm glad I did my research because ball valves is one the secrets to heat management especially if your going to over load the wok. It looks like you get plenty of heat on your burner no doubt, and your food looked like it came out pretty good. Nice job
@peterlai9018

I feel the wok is overloaded though but as long as the OP likes the food that's all that matters.

Peter Lai, I have produced some mediocre tasting food before and everyone will tell me it was great, but when you know you did it right you know you nailed it....there is a difference. I know when I failed and if I didn't I'd still be frying blind.

how is the light holding up. did you had to replace the assembly
@drabena
@drabena 7 жыл бұрын
The lights are still holding up. I ran a bead of silicone all the way around where the glass meets the plastic hoping that would solve it, but I still see some condensation building up. I think the only thing saving it is that I also put silicone around the connections. It's been raining like a mofo, but the lights are still working.

I had the same problem with my 2009 escalade. I changed the ballast even though I had condensation what a waste of money. it blew out again from the condensation and rain. I ordered a new headlight and ballast off eBay for 450 and now my truck is good
