if you hadn't taken manual control what would it had done?! would it just circle until battery runs out and fall out of the sky uncontrollably or does it have battery failsafe to land automatically before battery is empty?
@Antichamberteam80110H2 ай бұрын
The failsafe was to return to launch and circle at 100M, so it would have ran out of battery and fallen out of the sky

Good work. Id like one of these but on a switch so you could just check quickly and then flip back to normal mode with no lag. Ill never do it but i sure will watch your videos to see what you do with this.

The behavior you're describing is essentially what the original code (linked in description) does
@Globalnet6263 ай бұрын
There is zero reason to be booting into a desktop environment, you're losing a lot of performance from that alone. Find a way to go straight into your video feed from TTY or use a smaller footprint window manager like i3. That said - I don't think a pi is the best platform for this ..
@Antichamberteam80110H3 ай бұрын
Interestingly, the original code (linked in description) also boots into desktop, but doesn't have the horrible lag issue. It's about 1-2 frames of latency. The reason why I'm using a pi zero 2 w is because the original code also uses it and preforms well. I will definitely look into i3

does this work the same at night? jk nice job keep it up these are cool to see and could have use in search/rescue in the states try to maximize battery life and your solid! the lag gave me anxiety for sure

At night, the visible light camera struggles to see anything, and the thermal overlay is unaffected

@butre.8 ай бұрын
chances are the answer is travels, but a well tuned printer running klipper and a supervolcano, sovol high flow, or k1 hotend can absolutely print that fast if you can keep the print cool. I start running into severe cooling problems around 80mm^3/s with a sovol high flow modified to take k1 nozzles, if this guy is using a typical .4mm nozzle with .2mm layer height then he's sitting right at around the same flow rate. toss some aux fans at it and it'll haul.

you also comment thing like this in super fast bugatti videos?
@xiar55468 ай бұрын
Hey guess what?! There are hot ends out there capable of pushing more than 55mm³/s of filament! And at 55mm³/s that printer would be moving at 700 mm/s! There’s no reason why this printer won’t be able to reach 1000mm/s with the right hotend and cooling setup.
