I'm in Papamoa to the north and I'm going to do an English academy for 6 months. auckland or queenston. I would like where I can find more job possibilities. Is there work in Quenston? many thanks
@MarkRobles4 ай бұрын
I released this video during a couple of years ago during covid so the job climate won't be the same in Queenstown. Last I heard there are now a LOT more backpackers on working-holidays in Queenstown resulting in accomodation being scarce. Auckland might be your best bet for job opportunities while studying.

Nice to see Stewart island again, we loved it there! Mind you, we took the boat which wasn’t fun to say the least. Next time I think we might opt for the plane.

Oh I've heard too many stories of sea sickness resulting from that crossing!
@angeliqueadrian83964 ай бұрын
@@MarkRobles I’ve been on many boats but none as wild as this one. I thought I had sea legs but I turned grey. Holding on for dear life as well. But Stewart island made it worthwhile. Someone said, it is either one hour of terror or 20 mins of sheer hell. 🤭

Why do people keep saying that they are harmless. They possess the ability to inflict a bite that can cause pain, swelling and nausea. Generally not worse than anything our larger wasp species can inflict….But. 10% of Wolf spider bites result in an amount of necrosis in Australia. Can be pretty hard to tell the difference between a Huntsman and a Wolfie.

Thanks for the info, I had no idea the symptoms from a bite were that severe

Intercity is a disaster. With the Flexipass you can only use half of the route network. The day trips offered cannot be booked at all with the Flexipass, although this is advertised. A lot is promised, especially in the sales pitch. If you buy the Flexipass and register, you will be very disappointed.

Bro, first gen immigrants here in BC, trying to move to AU. I got job offer in Perth. How beautiful is Perth compared to BC?
@MarkRobles Жыл бұрын
Bro picture the opposite of BC and Perth is what you get. They don't call it the sunshine capital for nothing. We were there in summer and the weather was warm but dry for the most part, so the shade and breeze helps. I can't recommend Perth enough provided you can find housing/rental. The city is safe and very international, most Australians have foregone the east coast to move out West. Wishing you the best!

Damn, warm weather is not new to me bcoz im from the Phil too. I got a job offer to work as a fifo but the money they offer is just the same i got from here. That is why it is sỗ difficult for me to decide and also i got my townhouse and a new car to leave in case i decided to move to WA. My wife is also working here. I really like moving to WA.. need some advice.

Thanks for this video 😀👍 Beam are offering ex-rental scooters for sale. Given your experiences with these scooters what are your thoughts? Would you buy an ex-rental or use one if they gave you one for personal use?
@MarkRobles Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, not just saying that as a former employer. The scooters are actually Ninebot Segways which are very robust and reliable. Seeing the punishment the public puts them through, they've gotta be tough AF.

@@MarkRobles Thanks for the reply. I bought one and I know a lot more about them than I did two weeks ago! The SNSC 2.3 model is built like a tank so it should be a great way to zip around. Weird that the brakes are reversed though. Front on the left hand and rear on the right. I’ll have to see if I can swap the cables over. Cheers!

Hey mark, great video! Fellow Canadian here, this was sooo helpful! I was worried how tough the application process is, but it seems very straightforward. One question, I purchase travel insurance after my application is approved? Also, do you send a photocopy of your passport, or do they perfect another method? Thanks a lot! I’m excited to start the process!
@MarkRobles Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yes travel insurance can be the last thing you do after getting approved, they didn't even verify our insurance when we arrived in NZ. Regarding passport, when we applied all they needed was a clear, scan of your passport submitted digitally.

This was very funny! In Perth, the "Freo Doctor" usually blows in at around 11:30am, cooling the city but causing mischief along the coast. You want to get to the beach before then and it's usually much calmer.

Māori particularly only settled the North Island first because it was warmer, therefore they travelled to & from the South Island for resources and everything. That is one reason why you don't really see Māori people & infrastructure down there, the majority of the 800+ maraes are scattered across the North.
