How cold is it were you are. Starting this weekend it will be below zero centigrade.20s in Fahrenheit and get colder all next week

@vicktorpatriot1430 Yes, I read on the news that the polar vortex will be bringing you some cold weather, like real Arctic air coming your way, it seems that the poor Canadians will be thoroughly freezing, hopefully the coldest front won't reach your area!! I was wondering if it will bring you some snow, too. Interestingly, our weather changed right on New Year's Eve (so those going out to celebrate were probably not best pleased, hehe). It was just pouring rain on 29th of Dec (I could hear the rain rattle against the windows at night) and then on 30th it turned cold-ish and the temperature has kept dropping from then on. Now this morning we are at - 10 C, but it's getting colder towards tomorrow ( - 15 C), but it doesn't seem to last because next week we'll be around - 5 C again. So not bad at all, just walked back from the store and it didn't feel cold at all. Weatherwise the new year has started nicely, can't complain, but there's been "trouble at sea", if you've happened to see any news about the Gulf of Finland & the Baltic Sea - rather worrying developments, I must say. Anyway, I hope that with that cold coming, you'll have thick layers of snow, too, so that there'll be lots of ploughing jobs for you!! 🌨️❄️🌨️

The good thing is it is just magnets. So no batteries, or anything that has to be turned on, meaning they can play with it any time they want without waiting for us to get it started. Although, like all toys, I'm sure they will get bored with it eventually. That's just the nature of kitties.

I'm here, thanks for asking! 😊💙 Not been sleeping really well lately, so I've been waking up way later than usually and commenting only after my morning walk! I'm still in one piece, though the ice situation hasn't been getting any better, it's been raining but the ice just won't melt!! My neighbour is a scary example for me - she's a woman in her 60s like me, a veteran morning walker just like me - well prepared and used to walking in any weather. Yet, a month ago she slipped on ice covered by wet snow - broke her ankle really badly, had to be operated, it's still in cast and she can't put any weight on it, and on top of all, she seems to have some complications from the operation!! I'm terrified the same thing will happen to me - my morning walks have thus become rather stressful, and that's why I've probably been sleeping worse!! 😕 I really hope you've got a nicer winter weather than us - perhaps even an "old-school" real winter with some cold and a bearable amount of snow!! 🙂❄️

The butterfly part is pure genius. The way it flutters really makes the cats either love it, or get annoyed by it enough to swat it playfully. Either way, they play with it.

I don't know why he loves having something jammed up his armpit, but he loves sitting like that. At least these are soft socks. Normally it is the stop of my front door, or even the wheel/base of a desk chair.

Gee, I just found there's a wolf roaming around this area, they warned it doesn't fear humans or dogs - I'll bet with my luck I will come face to face with it one of these mornings, and then all this snow will be the least of my problems, eek!! 🐺

That's one thing we don't have At least I don't think so. Supposedly we have coyotes though. I don't know where they all came from. We definitely never had anything here when I was growing up. I suppose there were a lot more wooded areas around before quite a few of them were developed into new neighborhoods. So maybe they all just had more large foresty areas to stay in and never had to come to ours. But considering I used to practically live in the woods behind my house when I was a kid pretty much all summer, I can't believe I never saw anything more than a raccoon or skunk. I didn't even see deer down there.
