Fabulous play. Fun to watch. Love Faraz Khan's great sportsmanship. He claps or acknowledges his opponents great play.

Can anyone see her make contact at 29:11? Not doubting it, I just don't understand when she gets hit

That was a perfect example of a clean squash match, no moaning at the referee, no fishing for strokes, just excellent sportsmanship and tidy squash. Hats off to these youngsters

A couple good points by challenger (at 6-3) but wasted 1/2 the game being nervous.

Challenger was competitive for first 3 points then the reality of professional conditioning plays a hand.

It'd be hard to find a more aptly named player than Spring. Which unfortunately means she probably won't be getting nicknamed by Joey/PJ when she goes to PSA.

Blue seemed to be hustled into a lot of unforced tins... still.... I'd not get a point against either of them so I'll just get to bed feeling exhausted watching.

What gets me is, most occasions either player could have killed the ball and won the point, but they choose to rally instead? I see this alot with competitive squash but could someone explain why, rather than looking for the point early?
@shiningshiv
@shiningshiv 22 күн бұрын
If you make the opponent run by staying on the T and placing the ball away from them and rallying, then you will be left with more stamina in the end of the game which would be an advantage as the opponent won't be able to keep up and eventually lose. Killing the ball may get you a point but it won't do the main damage of affecting the other's stamina. The main skills required for squash are good ball placement, away from the opponent and good stamina.

Which grade ball is being used? Bounce is consistent and high. Doesnt seem to be a double yellow dot, but i may be mistaken

el Hindi was quite possibly one of the most skilled players of that time from a technical standpoint. Shot selection, quick hands, great court presence and coverage but he was also the nastiest of players on the circuit at that time. Always looking for Let, Stroke, constant whining if he couldn't get his way, unnecessarily very physical. I think he set the standard for today's Mostafa Asal who is just now learning to keep his head calm and play the game properly.

One more thing, get into attack mode, the last game was all defensive mode, surprisingly you will get deeper and a good length if you’re in an attack stance, but wow, a great opportunity and still very well played

Ocean, what great experience you get from games like this, learning new things strategies, shot selection, and the most important thing is to always enjoy the game A few things to change is your depth, power, and when to play the drop shot, too often will cause problems But most importantly enjoy the experience and learn from it, you are brilliant

Couple of young lasses. Surely an old guy like me could teach them a thing or two. So I watched that first game. Not only did they both show far better manners than I manage but they also showed that against them I would get exactly as many points as they chose to allow me. 🤗

Good times when having to move to the ball still when being hindered by the opponent was just a let instead of this stupid 'he probably could have made a good shot if he would have gotten to the ball so it's a stroke' of today.
