Years ago Mary Berry was Editor of a magazine called Home and Freezer digest…we all cooked and froze meals….Christmas was prepared in October and frozen,…we have lost all this now…it’s all ready meals.

Oh the joys of a range cooker, whether its Everhot, Aga, or Rayburn! Really helps to make a house a home and makes the kitchen so cosy. Wouldnt be without ours ( its an electric Everhot and only needs a three pin plug so will take with us when we move). Great soup recipe and demo thanks. Kitchen shaping up nicely

Hi Charlie may I ask you about necklaces? I have a necklace and chain which was partly made from my late mother’s wedding ring. My jeweller has advised me to take it off at night as the chain will stretch but I would like to wear it always. What is your opinion?

I make tomato soup and I always have lots of hummus - either bought or homemade, but I have never thought of putting the two together. Will do so from now on - thanks for the brilliant tip.

Thanks for the soup recipe -- delicious! I have had an electric dual control for 3 years now. It is my first AGA (they are not so common in the US) and it is brilliant. It has made my life easier and tastier. One tip I was given that I would like to pass on, is with the dual control make sure your towel never hangs over the top left control panel oven. The heat gets trapped between your tea towel and the door and over time will melt off the AGA badge. This won't effect the performance but it is not an attractive look!

The kitchen looks superb, well worth the wait. Your tip about using hummus in the soup has really got me excited; will be trying that out as soon as possible. Many thanks.

We are off to drive the North Coast 500 in a couple of weeks and really looking forward to spending time in the fresh air of the Highlands (although dug out the waterproofs in readiness earlier today 😄!). Never been more north than Glencoe so very excited. ☺️

What a stunning location in Scotland! The views from the bridge were picture postcard perfect. I did have a laugh at your misadventure with Airbnb. I did something similar when I took my daughter to a dance eisteddfod. We came out of a long day of competing, very ready to hit our beds, and I popped the address into the GPS to find the location was actually an hour and a half away! My original airbnb search must have iterated out to a larger search area and I hadn't noticed. We ended up in the dodgiest motor inn for the night as that was the only accommodation left in town. On a different note, the kitchen is looking stunning! Your joy at having a fully functioning space is palpable. Hope you can relax and enjoy it now.

Great variety vlog. Well done with your interview, so right I would expect people are taught these things but they are not. Like you I was lucky and Mum did teach me and I married young at 21 so needed to learn quickly but always enjoyed cooking, home making and great satisfaction from it. You do need to want to learn though especially nowadays when you can if you can afford it buy so much. Your kitchen is getting there how exciting. What a shame Santana had a moment, my mare never liked the rain! Thanks for sharing 😊

Hi Charlie Love your new kitchen - thought I had sent you a message but can't see it so apologies if this subsequently shows up again! Can you tell me where the kitchen is from and what the name of the range of cabinets please? When the kitchen is finished it would be lovely if you listed everything - cabinets, colour, worktops, handles, sink, taps etc all in one place. It really is beginning to take shape and as a kitchen is the "heart of a home" you must be beginning to really settle in your new home - have a lovely weekend 🙂

You are doing so well .. quick question are the tops ok if you use things like tumeric - they won't discolour is what I am asking please?
