You used a lot of words to say the game is bad. It's a bad game and there is simply no 2 ways to put it. It's not a fun sandbox base builder and it's not a good multiplayer or cooperative experience. The only thing they nailed was the title and the IP, it's a disaster everywhere else save the graphics department and that is mostly assets. Also they seem to want to turn it into some sort of dungeon crawler....where you have to invest a significant time into crafting and base building....so now it will also be a bad progressive experience....

You know what's really crazy to think about? Just 3.5 months BEFORE Metal Gear V and Mad Max released, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt dropped. And while I was so engrossed in TW3, I had at least gotten somewhat familiar with MGSV thanks in no small part to Quiet. Mad Max just really didn't even try to market to us 😭

It is 4 am as I am typing this... first of all nice video. I'm not entirely sure this is the mad max game I'm thinking of, but I remember hearing about a mad max game that a lot of people were really hyping up many years back now. However when the game actually came out, I never even looked at footage of the game because the people that I trusted to look at games and review them and give me good feedback all told me the same thing. "Within 2, maybe 3 hours you have seen the entire gameplay loop, you have seen effectively all the content of the game. You run around the map, do quick missions, grab stuff and then you leave to another section of the map to do it all over again." At that time that was honestly a pretty damming statement about the game. Obviously these days we have seen standards drop far far below the simple "eh game didn't have a lot of variety." but back then that was all it took to doom a game to being a second or even third class citizen in the gaming industry. With the hindsight of almost a decade we can say it at least is a fully functional game, it isn't a game that came out and then actively had the devs suck the fun out of it because the game is a live service and they need to keep things "balanced." and I don't think they really promised anything they didn't deliver on. It just didn't live up to a lot of peoples expectations or hopes. Personally based on the little I've seen of the game from this video I definitely wouldn't get it. As someone that puts significant chunks of time into games I really like, the lack of variety is a massive problem. I'm also not a fan of literally any of the super hero games and that combat style/system is one of the reasons why. I think I can comfortably stamp it "not for me." Still I do see what you mean about the car combat, that looked nice and I kind of almost wish we could get an updated Twisted Metal game with slightly more realistic and chonky car combat like that. God I miss Twisted Metal... I am so fucking old T_T
