I don't mind either really unless its blatant begging. More curious as some vids have massive views for no real reason. Only thing I can think of is, like you say amazon, disney or whoever holds the license of that franchise i'm "promoting" by making a vid on is pushing the views up. If I did monetise then maybe the channel would grow faster, but is that a good thing? I don't think a few extra pennies in my pocket from you toob is gunna be life changing but might affect the content I put out if I'm chasing trends etc. I do this for fun and to relieve boredom plus the interaction. I'm not against others making money. Whatever works for you is your buisness. I see both sides but the amount of schills that basically have no scruples on you tube makes me want to avoid that association.

I don’t see monetising the channel As begging. You may notice Amazon will assign add to start of some of your vids anyhow So better to have those pennies in your pockets than theirs. I’ve been monetised a couple times then Amazon In monetises me as I don’t always play ball. It’s neither here nor there for me🤷‍♂️ take It or leave it ☝️

In answer to rudolph about whether having ads be a con to me or you as a viewer. I hate ads especially if you are watching a film and are constantly having to skip. With my content I don't think it would be that big a deal but I have always uploaded content for free on soundcloud and my space back in the day. I would never schill and take free products to give favourable reviews. I don't like you tube memberships, patreon, buy me a coffee or kickstarters as theres always a middleman or coporation taking a cut. The whole getting to 1k thing I have seen other channels totally focusing on and then its on to the next milestone. Personally I have joked when I hit 1k I will stop uploading on this channel and start another just to avoid the whole monetised thing😂😂😂 I see channels with no content have thousands of subs so it makes no sense at all, unless they set all their content to private or bought the subs. I would not encourage buying subs as it violates You tubesTOS and can get your channel shut down and actually dosnt help but hinder you apperently as fake bots etc don't interact as normal viewers consistently. There are alot of schills and bots on you tube and other platforms, so its good to keep an open mind and judge for yourself. Still undecided about the monetizing thing as am curious to how it would affect the channel. I hope one day to bring out lots of useless merch out like underarm roll on sticks for women as a revenue stream with my brand logo on. I can see it ending in a big legal battle due to copyright 😂😂😂 Leave your thoughts, would you be for or against ads? I honestly don't mind either way. I probably won't as that makes me a hypocrite but as said i'm interested in how that process works or dosnt it seems these days 🤔

To answer marty, the hash tags etc can work depending if the subject or product is popular. Sometimes emojis like 😂😂😂📼🎬🔥🔥🔥🎩🎩 work just aswell. It really is a shot in the dark what will be popular.
