I’ve lost my faith in humanity too. I mean… I’m looking at the things going on around the world. The things that some people say. What people do, etc… It’s all going to shits, isn’t it? You think you’ve seen or heard the dumbest shit in the history of mankind, and then some fucker pops up and surprises you yet again. Weirdly enough I blame the social medias. Thats where you find these weirdos with a shits for brains. I mean… They’re there anyway, but without the social medias you wouldn’t know that there are so damn many of them. We all have that one or two weirdos in our neighborhood, but to have it confirmed the amount of them on a world wide basis is truly overwhelming really. I’ve been around for 44 years now and I’ve always beaten myself up thinking that I am so fuckin’ stupid. It’s been to the point where I’ve been thinking that there is a picture of me next to the damn word itself in the dictionary. Then I read a newspaper. I go on social medias. I watch the news. I go to the pub or to a store. Just mingling with other individuals thats supposed to have a brain between their ears. And what do I discover? There are people so fuckin’ dumb out there that I am amazed that they can even breathe on their own. I’ve never thought that I’m the sharpest tool in the shed, but appearantly I’m not as stupid as I’ve thought. I look at the people we (in my country) have elected to run this fuckin’ nation and they do some pretty fucked up and stupid shit. Most of the seem to have no education or a fuckin’ day of honest work behind them. And these people are running a whole fuckin’ country??? So when even I think that I am smarter than these fuckers, and that I could have done a better job, why the fuck am I beating myself up thinking that I am the stupid one? I bet there are a lot of people out there juggling with the same thoughts as me. We are in a world full of endless stupidity and it making us pissed the fuck off! So, yeah… I can understand that a 70 year old thats been around for a while may be a little bit grumpy to say the least LOL! So on the light of his words of wisdom I am going to stop beating myself up thinking that I am stupid, and start being so damn greatful over that at least I am not a peado LOL! Thanks, buddy! @@Eseres80 Did the brick wall look good in the end? Sometimes the end product isn't what you start out to produce/assemble in this case, but in the process you can come up with new ideas or techniques. This paint is intended for engines and is intended for metal I think, or the rubber just wouldn't let it cure. Maybe the oils etc. But it looked a bit rubbish bare legged anyway do turned out for the best.

@ The brick wall turned out just fine since I was going for various colors in them anyway. The brick floor, which I’m talking about in this case turned out acceptable though. Still looks like shit, but not so bad that I feel the need of committing seppuku or anything like that. Originally I wanted to add some cracks and stuff but since I fucked it up anyway I didn’t want to bother with the extra work honestly LOL! What I did learn in the process is that next time I’m better off mixing a bit too much paint instead of too little! The funny thing about the whole damn project is that the walls got a crappy build but a nice paint job, while the floor got a better build but a shit paint job. So all in all I guess the shit evened out LOL!

@Eseres80 Am sure its fine. Annoying when you put in the effort and it doesn't pay off but you could always repaint. Even hard work can be easy if you're enjoying it.

@ Nah, at this point I’ll just redo to the wall panels entirely and paint them to match the floor panels instead. I used some crappy cardboard for the walls and the shit warped like a motherfucker. I’ve gotten a few new ideas on how to make the walls a bit better anyway. The next version I plan to make without any other details than the bricks, and make modular props that can be moved around and swapped out. Such a shame about the damn Mortal Kombat logo though. I was quite happy with that one but I glued the fucker in place so it can be reused.

I think it was over when they stopped making the 12" figures in 1976. Not jumping the shark, just ending. I was already out of G.I. Joe by 1970 anyway so it didn't affect me until i started gathering my old collection in 1992.

@@haroldellis9721 Yes I think it was a throwback to the comic and 50s era. I don't think it was available in the uk as we had palitoys version of gi joe action man. We did have the intruder which is our weird figure that sticks out like a dore thumb. Might try and pick one up to do something with.

We always called them records, or lp's if it was an album. The word vinyls seems synonymous with audiophiles or snobs. Well imo anyway from some of the videos ive seen. Like vhs it seems some never got rid like me, but others are discovering for the first time or coming back to records they have fond memories of. I have or had some shellac 78's. No use to me but even those have value and the old music is being used in games like fallout and meme culture. It seems these trends truly go in rotation. I have even seen recently someone putting hip hop on a old eddison gramaphone roll😂 That is going too far even for me and I was a fan of hip hop in the 90s. Notorious big was about the time I ducked out.

@@rudolphguarnacci197 I just speak as I find. I have dipped my toe back into audio cassette recently. More out of nostalgia, but I had and still have loads of tapes recorded from radio shows circa 1990. Like vhs it was a great way of owning a vast library for no cost and those tapes still play today. No file corruption or lost data on the whole. I think the move to owning films, music and software via streaming is one of the biggest con's that has been perpetrated on us. And we embraced it😄

To be honest, I don't know where the franchise can go now.

@@darthbuzz1 The resurection newborn was pretty weird too. I watched the fan edit of Paradise mixing Prometheus and covenant last night. I still am not a fan of those films but being condensed into 2 and a half hours and the soundtrack swaps definitely improves those films.

Man I agree on every single point. Most of the shill reviews, with exception to a few negative, lick this films rimulus😂 The interviews with the director/cast and behind the scenes footage you would think this was being taken seriously. The production and set design was good. The story was totally illogical, cast boring. Cgi was awful or unnecessary like the weightlessness acid scene. The aliens moved like every other cgi version. There was no tension or fear. The last "alien" was unnecessary and was a cross between the engineer and resurrection newborn. I hate the engineers nearly as much as David, but wouldn't go as far as him. They said the old androids were a bit twitchy but nothing about genocidal😂😂

@@Eseres80 You can stick rods or sticks up trouser legs for some figures. The waist grabber can be fashioned from wire coat hangers. Magnets are a cheap way to do it with smaller neca figures ive done before. It is an expensive extra most times we dont need or take up too much space. Look at the present toys ripley base😄

@ I’m already playing with the idea of using thick bendy wires. A roll of it is pretty cheap. I have been trying to figure out a way to shape the grabber part in a way that makes it easy to remove the figure from the stand without reshaping it every damn time, and still be able to support the figure safely. It also need to be easy to shape the same way every time too. I did test out this whole idea on a smaller and lighter figure and it seem to work out very well. It just need a sturdy base to keep the base to wire connection solid. Yeah, that Flight Officer stand is damn massive LOL! The bastards went for a small body for the figure itself, but they made the biggest fuckin’ stand known to mankind LOL!

@Eseres80 The blitzway carlitos way stand is an interesting design, but for ease of taking the figure on and off its a real pain. The waist grabber is probably the best design. All you need is to copy it and use a tube stuck on a base. Have seen others copy this method. Yeah small body massive base where they playing a joke on purpose?😄

@ As much as I love the ball cradle stands the most, I think the waist grabber idea is the best one to work with. It doesn’t need to hold the figure like it is about to bend it over and fuck it in the ass, but have a C-shape that keeps the figure stable enough to stand. Most figure have a outfit where it is possible to insert something through a belt, down the pants or up the shirt, so I’m thinking of something that could do that too. Man… After getting that Flight Officer figure I have my doubts on getting any more from that company LOL.

@Eseres80 Sounds a plan. Really? Not happy with ripley? Ive seen issues with some of their older figures like the shinning one. The pics of their edward scissorhands looks good in hand. I like their marty mcfly and patrick bateman Think with their products you have to sometimes do body swaps like marty and Ripley or tweak things.
