I was 13 when this came out. I had to decribe, to my much younger wife where Kinear became a hilarious star. Much of this went over my head at the time, being so young. BUT, what I do remember, is my father stopping on the channel, and just ROARING from laughter at Greg's super long 5 second awkward pauses with a bewildered, eye brow raise at the most wildest of clips that started coming out. It was his release from the insanity of the beginning of clown world that you and I are so insaturated with today.
