"Signal got lost to the satellite". That's for sure lol. Old tech and new tech sometimes don't play well together. Great upload though. Looks like '95-ish maybe? Saw them a lot between 95-99. MD ran the whole thing into the ground and blamed everybody and everything around him aside from the termites in the walls and the roaches in the cupboard for his drug and alcohol abuse and his situation in life, as junkies and drunks will do. Happy to see he survived, but he's a little asshole and his Coffeehouse Rock body of work since 2000 has largely sucked.

Good song. Only thing is that the songs author chose the title off a misquote and thought it was about the music industry . The real quote was about the television journalism industry. "The TV business is uglier than most things. It is normally perceived as some kind of cruel and shallow money trench through the heart of the journalism industry, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs, for no good reason." -- Hunter S Thompson. Which admittingly still makes it the perfect title, but the band went around spreading the misquote.

to see that band live and in excellent form , it was only a wnindow or 4,5 years . I saw them 4 times in belgium . it 's truly one of the best live bands i have ever seen . it was gorgeous and groovy .

That's how it appears until you read his memoir. There's a large number of reasons for him to despise even the thought of soul coughing. Which sucks ass cause they're my all time favorite band, but I support his distaste and strong will to move on as well. Some great things just aren't meant to last.

Saw these Guys in 1996,1997 ....4 or five times in Belgium ! was terrific , hot , grooovy , spectacular , theatrical , deep , intense , and so weird genius mix of styles . Damn soul caughin , one of the greatest i saw in the 90's . Along with jeff Buckley , Morphine , Giant sand , the walkabouts , .........

@imalittlecow In 1945 a plane hit the Empire State Building. -- it missed the Chrysler Building. The elevator operator fell 1,000ft in an elevator and she still survived... crazy luck there.
