4:50 deathcore is not heavier than death metal, deathcore bands just use better sound production, and amp their music up higher because death metal is older, both death metal and deathcore on average are a lot quieter than most people who hear them think they are. It’s just that death, metal and deathcore bands amp their music up so high to the point where the song sound much louder and heavier than they actually are, if we’re talking about extreme metal in general such as death metal, black metal and deathcore, modern death, metal, modern black metal and modern death core can actually literally have competitions to see which one can out heavy each other

@JesseGrey-j3s My counter point is regardless of HOW the heaviness is achieved, you can't tell me with a straight face that sonically speaking, breakdowns aren't heavier than blasts. I personally find doom to be the heaviest you can get in music. Tune low, play slow. Slower riffs are always heavier.

@ OK you do have a good point, yes slow music can definitely be heavier than fast music, especially if it’s reverb, personally, I think black metal is the heaviest subgenre of metal, because they play slowly, are very reverb and sound really evil and it has the thickest grittiest and most intense sounding vocals in my opinion, I have no problem with deathcore, I myself actually listened to some deathcore, also some metalcore and post hard-core, I just wanted to point out that modern extreme metal in general can be really heavy do to the fact that modern extreme metal bands have the technology to amp up their music and make it sound as loud and heavy as they want without limits.
