Hey wayne ! I'm building a drone from a storm 8 and implementing 16 motors in the design, but one set up on down on the ends, how did he use the naza flight controller for this, I'm using the same flight controller and am working on how to have the one input go to both motor by splicing the wire before the esc's, how did he do it ? thanks !
@waynemia07tx Жыл бұрын
In this case, al the blades are up and we just set the ESCs up in parallel using a Y connector. You should be able to do the same thing, just reverse the rotation direction on the bottom motors so they turn the same direction as the top motors. you will also make sure all props pushing up.

@waynemia07tx Жыл бұрын
Not at all. It has a 20cc gas engine up front. Servos were moved to the tail to help with the balance and get rid of the wood pusy rods. Oversize tires also contribute to weight balance. There is no extra weight added to the plane for balance. Only the battery position is used to tweak the balance.

Very helpful, thanks. Quick question, the spring coil which goes between the spark plug and the connector, is that really required? My metal spark plug connector does not seem to fit tightly onto the spark plug if the spring coil is in.

It should be there. If not, you could have intermittent connection. Make sure you press it on completely. May take considerable pressure. Also, correct plug?

They still make this kit although another company purchased the rights to it. Carolina Custom Kits is the name of the company. Don't know why Hobby Lobby quit selling stuff like this. I took a trip in there this past weekend looking for R/C airplanes, rockets and helicopters. They had NONE and only a few models as well. This came out in 1967 from what I have been told.

I bought an Enya SS45BB Ring from my LHS for 30 bucks still with the original box, paperwork. Inside it, from 1989, was an invoice. The engine was purchased at a Hobby Lobby that no longer exists located about an hour and a half from where I live now.

Hi , what a good job you made with this aircraft . I am just in the process of fitting an asp 91 4 stroke to my corsair. Do I need to put any side or down thrust on the engine when I fit it. The manual offers no help at all with this. Did you put any down or side thrust to your engine when you put it in? Many thanks John
@waynemia07tx4 жыл бұрын
Yes, All conventional prop aircraft typically require down, right thrust.This has to do with the slip stream and the rotating prop. The plane manufacturer should have recommended the amount of thrust change. If not, you can start with about 1 degree down, 1 degree right. Then when you start flying, you can go through a sequence of flight tests to determine if you have the CG, engine incidence, and other factor set correctly. Goof luck.

Hey y do v take of the insulation frm 1 side of the loop only!? Isnt the circuit incomplete in that case?
@waynemia07tx6 жыл бұрын
The axle needs to make contact with the support for 1/2 of the rotation. This provides a magnetic attraction when the poles are opposite. So the current in the loop switched on and off during each rotation. The insulation on the wire breaks the circuit but the coil continues to rotate until the current turns on again.

Your plane looks like a 2 man operation. The Buffalo FX-29 is too large for my local park, though it's smaller than your wing, and I could launch it by myself. This video was helpful in the respect that I have the little sister of this plane, the Wide Glide. I've had problems getting the thing to fly, now I can see i have the motor too far back.
