In all of the over 10 years I have played Minecraft, I still remain part of the small club that has never not even once legitimately defeated the Ender Dragon. And I'm okay with that, in fact at this point I intentionally don't just to remain part of the ever-shrinking club that enjoys the game without ever technically finishing it, because the game is only finished when you want it to be

My love for the game hasent been the same its lessened by the other games like vintage story or valheim which to me are better games imo minecraft lacks content i feel like and mojang spend to much time making usless updates nowadays and do nothing to spice up the progression in survival netherrite was a welcome addition but they really should have made the warden a overworld boss instead of trying to make it something you need to avoid

no minecraft just got so overcomplified i dont play survival anymore. Like the add of how you can upgrade to netherite only using the templates and other nonsense like nerfing villagers. The game just got so boring I feel like I gotta do 10 hours of progress of doing nothing for smallest changes like the netherite or getting stupid enchantments. I just always no matter what when I start playing anything above 1.16 cant play without cheating. The game just went full Rockstar mode how you gotta grind for nothing, the hardened stone underneeath to even get to diamonds is so stupid.

Probably nobody will read or notice this, because the video is already 11 months old and the internet is fast. Nevertheless, I would like to say: great video. I think the problem is not only with minecraft but with many games, especially sandbox games. The majority have stopped playing games the way they enjoy them and only play games the way they are told to on social media. Just start having fun again. Because that's what video games were made for. To escape reality and have fun, whether alone or together.

There’s this world that me, my sister, and my cousins have been playing on for around 4 years now I think, and no of us have ever beat the ender dragon in survival before, we literally just build stuff, explore, upgrade, create stuff, we’ve been playing for 4 years (with some breaks here and there) but we haven’t gotten bored, because our goal isn’t beating the game, it’s enjoying the game, using the game as a way of living out our dreams that may not be possible in the real world. It’s so much fun, and I’m sure we’ll beat the ender dragon at some point, but we’re not in a rush, we’re just having fun in each moment as we continue on. Also I have had the thought of starting a KZbin series on the world because it’s actually really fun and I feel like it’d be cool to share with people, would anyone be interested in seeing that sort of thing? Maybe long plays without commentary, or something? Anyways hope someone found this helpful or interesting :)

My friends and I have kept the same world on a realm, instead of starting a new world for an update or the “2 week Minecraft phase” we’d just build a better road sever thousand blocks in a different direction and then lock our gear back at an old base. Then eventually there’s multiple cities and even nations on a 10 player realm

I had to hold back tears because I was with my family, but this video hit so hard on my experience in Minecraft. The feeling of being raised by a community in a game made of blocks as pretty much your only source of socializing, pretending to work on school while really playing Minecraft, being a mod and making sure people followed rules. That's my exact experience. I originally watched Batclone's Minecraft With Mods series which kind of had a story to it and was just about playing the game for fun. Eventually it became speed running getting the best gear and building a bigger better base. I don't know where playing the sandbox game just for the sandbox part went, but I want to get it back.

played minecraft since 2014 its fun never killed the ender dragon (never tried too, i just don't want to) tbh, i've only been to the end in creative worlds it wasn't till 2021 that i looked myself in the mirror and realized i can play with keep inventory on, who would stop me? who would care? so what i'm not great at pvp or pve half the time, its a game, i can have fun AND avoid frustration. its MY world afterall

you play in your minecraft world until you build everything every farm all crazy stuff you were thinking about while trying to sleep until your world starts laggin and a new update came out so you created a new world and start all over again

Netherite and ender dragon (to a certain extent) took the fun outta the game, the fun part of Minecraft was the lack of objective, the objective was what ever you wanted old Minecraft had diamond armour being the best but you could still get your ass kicked in full diamond so you were never OP and the object was what you wanted netherite made you to op and took out the risk and the ender dragon gave an end goal and once that's done it turns a lot of people off, the elytra also sucks you can get to A to b so easily I remember making a world with two bases and I loved travelling between them, preparing for the journey and hiding under ground when night came around

The create mod made me love the game again. It's so nice to have fun once more

Honestly the biggest problem I have myself is how repetitive the game is. Even ignoring the Ender Dragon and end game stuff, the game always starts out the exact same. You get wood, you get stone, you become unkilliable with full iron, you go overboard with diamond and you grt netherrite to laugh at everything. Even ignoring the generic ore progression I think the game could heavily benifit from more playstyles or tools to work with. I honestly have to harken to Terraria for this idea. Terraria is just simply put the better game all around. Twrraria keeps its core gameplay ehile giving you tons of tools and weapons ar your disposal. In Minecraft, Netherite armor, a shield and a netherrite sword is just unquestionablly the best gear you could use. Theres no reason to use the turtle helmet or the trident because there's no benefit. Yes I do get the point of "just use your imagination lmao" byt I dont exactly have mych of one honestly. That, combines woth the fact that this game is nearly 15 years old, it needs a complete overhaul with its engine, mechanics and overall gameplay. Pretending to be chased in a single player game like Ive got schizophrenia isnt exactly my cup of tea. Minecraft is a boring game that people look at with rose tinted glasses. I'm sorry but its pretty telling when there are tons of people who havent beaten thr dragon even once. Minecraft needs to be put to rest at this point. 15 years for a sinlge game thats mostly singlr player is too long.
