With all the brainrot you've shown in this series, the Bear-Santa scene still had me cry a bit like the original scene. Funny shit though!

Today I picked up and read the first book of Soul Eater, hitting me with a great wave of nostalgia and unlocking core memories of watching Soul Eater content. Among them were glimpses of Soul Eater parody videos, with the quote "42 42 564 [...] geez you think he'd have a normal phone number" and others playing in my head (it was also through this video and checking out the end credits song I first learned of the group babymetal). After relentlessly searching "Soul Eater Abridged", "Soul Eater parody", "-on Crack", "Episode 1", "Reactions" etc. Clicking on video after video not playing along with the now crystal clear audio playing in my mind and finding a few reaction linking to original uploads which now were taken down I begun to lose hope. I started to come to terms with the fact that, the parody episodes I had watched again and again as I was on the move without internet, might have been lost to time. That even if nothing is ever deleted from the internet I wouldn't be able to find this memory, which's dialogue played out clear as day in my mind. That's when it clicked halfway, "without internet", I used to have a folder on the desktop of my old computer only labeled "Downloads". It contained a copious amount of downloaded anime episodes, comic dubs, music videos, youtube gameplay videos, etc. That's where the parodies would be ! But before I moved out of my childhood home I had factory reset my old laptop, wiping the harddrive completely. This got me thinking, the last places for me to look. Being somewhat of a hoarder both in the real world and when it comes to digital media I pulled out my important documents box, which also contains a small amount of USB:s, a harddrive and a couple of SD cards. I plugged and unplugged the USB:s, scrolling through old memories, pictures of old friends, former friends, a christmas with a now passed away grandparent, the family dog. Despite wading through all these files I found myself getting discouraged again, because there was no sight of the revered "Downloads" folder. As I unplugged the last USB I had a quick search as to whether there was something akin to the Wayback Machine but for KZbin videos, considering the video I'm looking for might be taken down. I came to the conclusion that there weren't any reliable sites for that, or at least they didn't have any promising results when searching for "Soul Eater on Crack"-videos. For the second time this evening I was ready to accept the truth, the videos were lost to time. Saddened by the loss of the video, perhaps the loss of something greater with the video itself being a metaphor, I began to pack up my box. Fiddling with the zipper of my bank token device case I decided to have a last look through the USB:s. Looking at them for a second time I remembered the explorer search function, nowadays made defunct by the more versatile search bar. Typing in the file type ".mp4" I watched in anticipation as it buffered. The first USB had no hits, the second had one. The third one took the longest, containing a backup of all my phone images and videos. As the results began to show there was file after file of "IMG_XXXX.mp4" but no sign of the videos I was looking for. Then it kept going, as I went further down the titles began to change. "Homestuck", "Undertale", etc, the things that were hot around the time, but most importantly they were youtube videos! Quickly I checked the file path of the first video that seemed promising. “:D\Temp\z Downloads\KZbin” I had found it ! Hidden two directories deep under the most inconspicuous name I found it. Familiar folders greeted me, “Attack on Titan”, “Gakuen Alice”, “Naruto”, “Soul Eater”, and “KZbin - Anime”. One last level, one more click and there it was. “Tales of the DWMA Episode 1.mp4” Thank you for this slice of nostalgia, as I sit on the video page I am surprised by the video statistics but realize I must’ve inflated it as a child. With your latest video being from four years ago and the latest comment on this video being from six years ago I have very little hope of anyone ever reading this. As it neared the fourth paragraph I made the decision of switching over to a proper document, and in a way that is what this video deserves. A proper document. So once again thank you for the amazing content you have created, and I wish you all the best ✨✨✨
