I gave the brother a compliment on his playing; I just simply said I'd like to hear the young man play on more melodic stuff. EXAMPLE: Carter Beauford of The Dave Matthews Band & Stokely of Mint Condition are both phenomenal drummers who enhanced the compositions & arrangements of their bands in a way that showcased their skill sets without overplaying; however, the music industry has moved away from bands (especially black bands) & have replaced them with digital track producers which means drummers now play differently (more notes).. Music IS the only Universal Language. As drummers, what sentences are we speaking today???
