Hasn't been done by you. I'm 24 minutes in, and these few words for me are a big deal. I've recently spoken about 'how many times can you reinvent the wheel'. Why? Because I hear of so many jobs that are total bull. They are needed. Systems are not working because despite lots of managers, no one is actually aware of the finer points. By the way I'm in the Uk, so I'm thinking of our NHS, transport, local government agencies called councils. We're in the 21st century but going backwards in many places. True creativity is endless. Fabric will always be needed. Having dipped into your world a few times, today I've gone back to your KZbin start. Thank you for all your podcasts🙂

I haven't taken Immersion, but I've watched every scrap of free things you've put out there Bonnie! 🤣 Except for this last January. Cause I was taking another class. I am still working on your class on Creative Live. Chipping away at it every free second I have at my home computer on Illustrator, which isn't very often. 😭 Maybe one day I'll be able to break awaybfrom my night shift hospital job... Cause I'm working noghts full time and homeschooling during the day!!!

Oh my gosh, I related and resinated with so much of what everyone was saying. Bonnie I discovered you through Skillshare back in 2015 and said out loud that THIS is what I want to do. I was living in our little 15ft caravan at the time but our business in Tiny Houses started to take off and so that is where my focus went. In 2019 we ran Australia's very first Tiny House Festival and it was my first taste of any kind of success! We did it from nothing but the skin of our teeth and determination.... then, you guessed it, 2020 happened! We've been spinning our wheels ever since. I'm literally sitting here designing for the next Spoonflower challenge as I was listening. I have some know how from fashion school and your Spoonflower classes and others etc. I feel like our growth was on-par with your own however ours was not a passive income so all came tumbling down and no way to pivot as based in Melbourne in lockdowns for most part of two years! I have had other personal issues however everything is now coming together for me to sink my teeth into this new venture!

This is so inspiring to me! I desperately want to get into surface pattern design soon but was concerned that being a homeschool SAH mom might might overwhelm me. It’s AWESOME to hear of someone who really made it a part of their family culture. This made my day!

Thank you Bonnie I have already learned so much just listening to a few of your videos. The way you put things somehow clears away all the fog of self doubt and hesitation and is giving me the courage you actually start on my dreams! Do one thing a day is an amazing and helpful concept! I’m such a perfectionist that I feel I can’t start until I know what to do and how to do it. Just start anyway is the message I needed to hear. I hope your story will be my story in the next few years!

Fabric can be super cheap. And the prices of things can be inflated up to 300%. So someone out there, is making fabric designs for next to nothing.

I posted this on ConvertKit as well after watching your story this morning. It was a great video. I've been donating my graphic design skills to nonprofits for years and never expecting anything in return. It's a great feeling knowing that my work helps raise funds for kids with cancer and families who need a support network to support their children while they work two or three jobs to maintain their household. Nonprofits really are a great resource because the government can only do so much and many times the government just can't do it well because of so much need in our communities. It's great knowing that I can help fill the gap in some tiny way. It really does take a village. Now it's time that I look out for myself. I have spent over a year trying to find some sort of stable income. I've run my own business for 10+ years and since 2022 it really slowed down. I started doing content creation last year but want to take it to the next level. Maybe I teach graphic design, photo editing and video by offering courses? I'm not sure, but this video gives me hope that I can do it. I'm trying to build an audience in social and I signed up for ConvertKit in hopes that it can further my business and career. Thanks again for posting this. Chris K

Dear Bonnie. I love your message today. I feel the universe send it to me because sometimes I wonder if I have to dream about being a SPD. Thoughts like “I’m not good enough” or “there’s so many people doing this” invades me. But when I see your videos or when I listen to your podcast all this awful thoughts flies away from me and all I want to do is start quickly and seriously this path. Thanks for being there giving us hope and certainty. Please never stop!🥰
