Anyone know why the pump is still running after draining the water out?
@bigbagofreeses22 күн бұрын
I am beyond annoyed that Whirlpool designed this machine to make it so difficult to clean the filter, when almost every other vendor makes it accessible from the front. Just zero regard for the customer. I'll never buy a Whirlpool appliance (I didn't buy the one I have now--it came with the house).

Whirlpool is such a garbage manufacturer, reward good companies like LG or Samsung that actually manufacturer good products.

How about the difference with the sound between the two?
@alphacapo25 күн бұрын
I have a 720 square foot entertainment room in the basement. Open floor joists. If i use safe and sound between the floor joists in the whole basement is it worth the 1k price for sound deadening echo reduction? there's so much misinformation on the web... I get conflicting information. Was going to get 80 yards of fabric to stretch and pin to the face you see to make it look right. I dont want to drywall the ceiling. Curious if this will yield any results in making the room less lively as far as reflecting sound for hifi and movies and when I'm playing pool. Also ull get some benefit from the r value

THANK YOU!!!!! I had a hard time finding a video with a washer like mine without the front door access to the filter. I truly appreciate your time creating this video. SO helpful!

Just had a thought when you were talking about the difficulty of routing duct along the curved surface. If they used something like a normal (heavy gauge) quonset hut shell as the form for the shot-crete, that would leave a several-inch-deep rib on the inside. I wonder if one could take some flat sheet metal, enclose one of those ribs and seal it with duct sealant, and use the rib itself as the duct to go up the wall to the second floor or even across to the other side of the structure. Or that could just be a dumb idea. EDIT: Sorry, still watching. You said we have to have two intakes and two exhausts. Do we have to? Can we not combine the two intakes and two exhausts into a single wall penetration if we size the vent pipe correctly? Like, if we need 100cfm for the ERV and, idk, 600cfm for makeup air, instead of having a 6in and 12in hole in the side of the house, could we not just upsize the MUA intake pipe near the wall penetration to 13 or 14 inch and plumb the ERV intake into that section? Probably need to add some backdraft dampers, now that I'm working it through in my head, so there wouldn't be any cost savings but that would be two fewer penetrations and that's usually a good thing. /le shrug

Perfect. What did people do before KZbin?

So, my in-laws do this too. The thing they’ve discovered about the upstairs guest bedrooms is that someone has to go up there to clean them, take the clean clothes upstairs and bring the dirty ones down, etc…. And if anything breaks upstairs (like plumbing), then someone has to go upstairs to fix it.

Are these manifolds being used in new home construction in 2024? When builders started using the technology in new homes?

I have this lock and I am the admin. If I am using this for a rental property and want to provide admin access to the PM company so they can set up code for the renters I would need to give them admin rights correct? My question is: 1. Can I delete an admin user? 2. Can they delete me?

Uh ... why not do a filler strip between the upper cabinet and the appliance board? That would leave the base cabinet/countertop as is.
@SawHorseDesignBuildАй бұрын
Good question! A filler strip was added once the panel was plumbed. If you had just added a filler strip, it would have been a triangle and very noticeable. The corrections were made based on this video, and the designer is very happy.
@CBBC435Ай бұрын
@@SawHorseDesignBuild Yes, I would have plumbed it first and then added the filler strip. Seems easiest that way.

What if we overstuffed walls and ceiling? We wrapped it but used 2x4 instead of 2x6 We used baffles but used 2-15 and overstuffed it. We had help but they said its overstuffed it and it was hard to get drywall up but we did.

This is an absolutely amazing concept, and the 3d model is really cool too! I never really thought about the science of underground houses, but this house peaked my interest, and I'm so excited to watch this and look forward to following this series from start to finish!

I am so excited to have found this (Praise the algorithm!). The idea of an earth sheltered home has fascinated me since I first saw it in a Rodale Press publication in the 1970's. We never had the opportunity to pursue it so I am looking forward to seeing this progress. I am especially pleased to see you are located here in the Southeast -- not out West where innovative things so often happen. Is there any provision for a supplemental solar electrical supply or will you just be connected to the grid as usual?
@imatl17552 ай бұрын
The house will definitely be wired for solar. Whether or not solar is installed at the time of construction will come down to a matter of how on budget we are. Thanks for the kind words and excitement about the project!
