The amount of money you spent on the five pieces, plus the time and tools to create it, honestly I’d rather just buy one. It does look amazing but you could have saved a lot of effort

Although i absolutely love the the pieces, they are definitely NOT hacks! No, no, no, no, no According to Webster, this is the definition of “hack”: c : a clever tip or technique for doing or improving something. Example: We asked entrepreneurs across industries to share their favorite productivity hacks, from useful organization apps to clever tricks for cutting down meeting times. -Richard Feloni So, a hack is more of a clever tip… a clever tip… What I see on these videos is what I consider full-blown carpentry that requires certain skills as a prerequisite! Most of us don’t have the skills nor the carpentry tools to build those ensembles! But i do think the projects are beautifully crafted!!! For anyone who does have those skills and tools and space, go for it!!!!!

Do people not know what a 'hack' is anymore. This isnt a hack this is just construction with pre-fabs. A hack utilises something in a way that it wouldn't be, in standard use so as to simplify or speed up. All of these are cabinets or shelving units that are still being used as such, but with added design/flourish. They're not being hacked or used to hack something else, they're just being put next to each other and painted. It looks nice, don't get me wrong. Just a click-bait video title

@@autumn5852 I don't own any of those tools, for starters. I'm a terrible DIYer and will most likely damage some of the pieces or throw one off the balcony when I get irritated. Finally, clearly, you have not discovered the wonders of FB marketplace or OfferUp (may not be available where you live). I have purchased some of the most beautiful furniture, appliances, and household goods at a mere fraction of the original cost, therefore, I could find something suitable for under $300. Last month, I procured a genuine leather sectional, a new wood 6-seating dining room table with all the chairs, a new flat top stove, and a new queen mattress with a wooden frame for the whopping total of $1,150. What I lack in DIY skills, I make up for in bargain hunting. 😀

Well i think she mentioned in the video it cost her $900 vs $3000(right?) so for her it is totally worth it! Of course, for me it wouldn’t be worth it because I would have to buy all the tools needed, maybe take some carpentry classes, A LOT of trial and error, etc… But maybe that’s the way everyone starts off… on anything…. I guess it comes down to how passionate you are about, in this case, the fusion of carpentry and creativity. When anyone is driven, it’s even enjoyable to acquire any prerequisite skills needed!!!!

@@marlena4020yes! I agree with this!! If I’ve learned anything, it’s that most diy stuff is a ton of hard work. I always look at cost and time spent vs cost of hiring it out or buying new!
