Is the houndstooth in V 9 or did you make it.
@ginabea7 ай бұрын
I drew it and created a motif fill with my drawing. It was tricky to get the proportions and angle ;)

Are these steps available in Wilcom's Hatch version too?
@ginabea7 ай бұрын
I've never had Hatch to give it a try - I'm guessing that this would be possible in Hatch. Do you have a tool for outlines & offsets?

Hey Gina, I have been using Bernina software for a few years, but now I need to get the faux merrow look locked down for some patches. I have several versions created, but can you provide yours as a file? I can make it into my own motif of course, but would like to see your pattern on my version 9. Looks great, and would like to sew it out too. Thank you.

I've never had much volume ;) I make some of these while the household is sleeping and don't want to wake them. I'll try to put the microphone closer. Thanks for watching.

well explained, thank you, can we make the fringe outline longer than 7 mm maybe 10 mm maximum?
@ginabea7 ай бұрын
It will probably depend on your machine. I only have the one 16 needle to experiment with.

I love your needle minder. I have the magnets (1" od, .5" id, 1/8" thick). I've watched videos and know how to cover the ring, but I need to know how you do the "chain 3 picots" (I think that's what I saw somewhere in all your KZbin videos.) Do you do leave a larger picot every few wraps then do a second round of chain 3 picots? Thank you.
@ginabea9 ай бұрын
Goodness! this video was 10 years ago, but it looks like a chain that has 3 picots very close together. Please reach out again if you happen to see the video where you found "chain 3 picots". Thanks for watching the videos. :D
@stevesprenger18169 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, I did not find a video. In the video I saw, you briefly showed and mentioned it was all chain 3 picots. And I cannot find it again! That's why I was asking if you leave a larger picot every few wraps to join into then do a second round of chain 3 picots? OR you could do a quick video so we can all see it ? ? ? It's so lovely...Diane

Hallo how did you create the stitch?
@ginabea7 ай бұрын
I have done several versions myself. I think this particular one was shared with me. It was mentioned that it copies one found in Janome.

Note that this step will also apply if you are INSERTING a non-ART file.

Correction: Chamfer is pronounced with a ch sound. It is a woodworking term.

Thanks a lot for this. I've been wanting to embroider with chenille yarn for a while and none of the couching feet will work. I also do goldwork and wonder if you could use the technique for getting the gold passing yarn to the back of the work by pulling it through with a loop of strong thread. It would give a really neat point at the top of the heart. It might take a couple of minutes to do but as we often have trimming to do anyway I think it might be worth trying.

When glue basting the yarn over the placement, when you get to the cleft of the heart, flip the yarn in a mitered corner for a nice point. You should be able to cut the yarn at the lower point of the heart so that the ends are flush to each other. Hopefully the yarn won't unravel at the cut ends. gb

What is this designed to iron
@ginabea2 жыл бұрын
The used it for all ironing, but mostly for household linens. I don't own that anymore, I sold it to a gal who was dying fabric and wanted to use it to press fabric.

@@ginabea my friend has one he found last week on the curb for big trash day. It still works, spins and heats up. He was going to scrap it but I told him he should try to sell it. He also got an old maytag wringer washer that I think is pre-war. He was going to scrap that also but I bought from him.

@@maddexxx847 You are a wise friend! The quilting groups are a good place to find someone who is "dyeing" to own a mangle. I had a tabletop version that I loved, but the motor burned out :(

@@maddexxx847I have the model 88 that I want to sell and I also have a Maytag wringer washer with the instruction book. I never used this machine until today but the motor makes noise but it's still working. I understand you have to change the oil in these things and it hasn't been changed

@ginabea3 жыл бұрын
You can do a search for "lift and snip" scissors. I have found several through the years. I think they were originally used in the medical field for removing sutures.
