Wow thats impressing! I am looking for a way to build a dyno just like this for a 50cc geared moped engine. Where can I find more info of your project? I have the simplerdyno sw and I had already ordered the electrical components too. Arduino, ardyno board, hall sensor etc. Now my biggest question is how to size an appropriate flywheel for it. Your setup uses hydraulics driven 1:1 from the engine rigth?

Super gaaf. Ik heb er ook een gemaakt. Het zelfde idee als die van jou met ardyno. Idd software aanpassen en nog wat filter dingetjes op de printplaat gedaan.

Very interesting. How did you go with tuning? I'm currently trying a Zoom guitar effects processor as an amplifier and equalizer to listen to my knock sensor. It's very hard to hear what's going on though.

This is a very cool setup. I've thought about supercharging mine as well (I'm running Megasquirt 1 v2.2) - what supercharger is this? Looks like you ran it through the stock intake manifold. Pretty cool.

Unfortunately there are no cheap mods that boost the 924 engines performance. The cilinderhead and combustion chamber design are primaraly the bottleneck. Converting to Carbs, adding a pretty wild Cam and a nice tubular exhaust manifold may yield a 15-20hp gain however it's not what you call cheap. It is however cheaper than converting to EFI and adding a supercharger...

Hey man,awesome work! I'm thinking about getting a 924 myself,would buy the turbo version,but it's out of my budget for now,I don't know too many people that own a stock 924. Just wanted to ask what kind of "cheap" mods would i need to do in order to boost that 125Hp a bit further. I'd be thrilled to get anywhere around 140HP out of this stock 2L engine. Thanks in advance! :)

Yes it is pretty quick, nearly as quick as a used euro spec 931. The instant throttle response and masses of low-end-torque make it a very nice car to drive. I'm running around 0.65bar of boost without intercooler and with stock 1:9.3 compression. Injection and Ignition are controlled by standalone Megasquirt motormanagement system. Currently it makes 136.1wHp @ 5650rpm / 201.9wNm @ 3900rpm however the fuel and ignition maps have not been tuned on a dyno yet. For more info see 924board.org

The engine has been rebuild primarily with second hand components. Just stock engine parts from a european 125hp porsche 924. The engine has been converted to megasquirt-II electronic fuel injection and ignition system. Furthermore a 6rib pulley has been added to the crankshaft assembly, some pipework and a frame to support the supercharger, blowoff valve, IAT sensor and that's basically it. A 0.5bar non-intercooled setup delivers around 170hp (i hope)...

Awesome work! I am building a 924 track car and have went through the motions of v8 then v6 then decided to either carb, supercharge or turbo the original lump. May I ask, what did you do to get to this stage?

kijk. ik heb er nu een gewone kopeling opgezet met een normale achterklok en 2 stappen en lopen.. dus hij is verder goed maar als ik me vario set er onder hang lijkt het wel als of mijn kruk as niet mee draait met de vario. geen rotatie what so ever dus jah, en nu,, ik denk dat ik die zwarte plastic spacer die over die bus heen gaat van je voor vario*(malossie multievar) moet gebruiken (die zit er nu niet in) ik ben radeloos.. wil graag rijden met me variotje iig bedankt alvast voor de info

als je compressie voelt wat ik deed met mijn vario extra gewicht op me achterwiel omdat ie slipte anders maar mijn decompressie kabel is verrot dus tja :P

heb ik gedaan maar werkt nog steeds niet lekker maar goed.. het werkt gewoon beter met kick blok maar toch bedankt ik ga vandaag nog wel ff aan proberen te rennen misschien wil die wel.. maar moet ik de achterkant van de citta nou iets optillen..? of gewoon veel gewicht op het achterwiel? want als ie hem pakt.. dan slaat me wiel vast en slipt ie gewoon verder.. dus dan kan ik um nie aanrenne,,

pfffffffffffffffffffffffft ik wil oooooook:P ik heb een vario set liggen maar geen kick blok maar jij duwt je citta gewoon aan met 70cc evo? kan dat dan? lol bij mij blijft de kruk as gewoon stilstaan als ik ren met me variotje erop.. help me aub.... iemand.,.. maakt niet uit wiie als ik maar weer kan rijden:P
