I'll never forgive Kojima for giving Big Boss as much spotlight as he did after this. Putting him in the protagonist seat has skewed people's perception of his actions so badly that there are far too many people who genuinely see nothing wrong with what he does.

hot take: i like the twin snakes version of this scene better. the BGM is too loud here and it doesn't really fit the more serious and sad tone of this scene.

A brilliant remix and my favourite version of this fantastic song. Superb and from a time when MTV was actually relevant and that is gone now. I remember them playing this in the late 90s on the Partyzone Show. Great times.......!

Is it me or was Solid Snake ever depressed whenever Big Boss is brought up? It seemed that he genuinely looked up to him as an icon and inspiration, similar to that of The Boss and Naked Snake, and killing Big Boss after finding out he was his father was very difficult. We can even see this in MGS4 - Solid Snake saluting to his grave, and lowering his guard after talking to him. Maybe he really did love Big Boss, even after all the things he has said and done.

When we hear about the fights with Grey Fox and Big Boss they sound cinematic and intense but in the actual game we see two sprites punching each other then Grey Fox disappears in an explosion and Big Boss gets sprayed by fire takes damage and disappears. That said it would be awesome to see remakes of the first two games. That would be a good remake.

"The best is yet to come" in instrumental version. MGS 1 - The soundtrack during the Codec conversation. In the remake version, this beautiful melody was replaced with some crap.

@@Blackhawk211 I have check it. In Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Full Gameplay Walkthrough - it's okay as you wrote is the same music. But here METAL GEAR SOLID REMAKE Gameplay Walkthrough FULL GAME is changed. So in Master Collection is okay only in remake version is a failer.

At 3:51 with the Dualshock connected to the PlayStation, the codec call dialog will be different . Naomi will tell you to put the controller to your arm where it hurts, which after enduring a few torture sessions with revolver ocelot(where you repeatedly press o to regain stamina) will be your forearm. No joke, it actually helps.
